🐾 A familiar face, a little refresher, and a whole lot of heart! ❤️
Meet Obi! 🐶💜
Obi holds a special place in my heart because he was one of the very first service dogs I had the opportunity to train. Watching him grow into the incredible working dog he is today has been such a rewarding experience!
Recently, Obi experienced a traumatic incident while away at Disney, which understandably caused a setback in his confidence.
But here’s something I always remind my clients: Training isn’t always about moving forward. Sometimes, it’s about taking a step back, rebuilding confidence, and strengthening the foundation we’ve already created. ❤️
And that’s exactly what we’re doing!
We’re slowing things down, revisiting his obedience, brushing up on his service dog tasks, and working through real-world environments at a pace that allows him to feel comfortable and successful again.
Our goal isn’t just to have a dog who performs his tasks beautifully. It’s to have a dog who feels confident, secure, and comfortable doing his job.
Progress isn’t always linear, and that’s okay! Every dog deserves the opportunity to work through challenges with patience, consistency, and understanding.
I’m so proud of this boy and everything he’s accomplished over the years. Here’s to continuing to build an even stronger, more confident Obi! 🐾💜
At Balanced Companions Dog Training, we understand that training doesn’t end when a program is completed. Whether your dog needs a refresher, help rebuilding confidence, or continued obedience work, we’re here to help every step of the way!
