I definitely did NOT plan on keeping her.
Like… at all. 😂

FiFi was supposed to be a “temporary situation.” You know, a quick rescue, a little rehab, send her off to her forever home… very professional, very business-like.

Yeah… no.

Somewhere between her following me to the bathroom like a tiny security guard, judging my every snack choice, and acting like I’ve been gone for 7 years every time I leave for 10 minutes… she became my dog.

And now? I’m completely obsessed. 🐾

She’s my shadow, my emotional support supervisor, and honestly runs this house like she pays bills. I didn’t go looking for another dog… but apparently, FiFi went looking for me.

And she won. 💛

10/10 would get adopted by her again

🐾 DAWG ON BOARD UPDATE 🐾

Well… after a couple of months, no one came forward to claim this sweet girl.

So I did what any reasonable person would do…

I kept her. 💚

Meet Fi Fi (Felicity), officially part of the Dawg On Board family. 🐶✨
What started as “just fostering” turned into something a little more permanent—and honestly, she fits like she’s always been here.

She’s safe, she’s loved, and she’s home.

We are still working on getting her fully set up with:
✨ Spay surgery
✨ Microchip
✨ Vaccinations

As temperatures rise, keeping our furry family members safe becomes extra important!

🌡️ Heat Safety Tips:
• Never leave pets outside for long periods in the heat
• Always provide fresh, cool water
• Walk early morning or late evening to avoid hot pavement
• Check the ground with your hand. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws

🚨 Watch for Signs of Heat Illness:
• Excessive panting or drooling
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Trouble walking or collapse

💚 Our Promise at Dawg On Board:
Your pet’s safety is our top priority. On high-heat days, we adjust outdoor time, provide shaded rest areas, and ensure constant hydration.

✔️ Up to date on all required vaccinations and fleas prevention

As we head into the busy spring and summer travel season, demand for boarding and daycare fills up quickly each year. To continue providing the high level of care, supervision, and safe environment your pups deserve, rates will increase slightly beginning April 1 for peak season.

If you have upcoming trips planned, I recommend booking early since spots tend to fill fast this time of year.
