Introducing the first 2026 recipient of The Broomfield Cares Fund - Turbo!
The Broomfield Cares Fund, supported by Suveto Cares, helps local pets in our community who otherwise would not be able to receive the care they need.
Turbo, an adorable 8-year-old Pug, was suffering from a severe and progressive periodontal disease. By the time he reached a critical point, he was in visible pain.
While dental surgery of the magnitude needed in Turbo's case can cost several thousand dollars, Broomfield Veterinary Hospital’s Cares Committee approved a grant to aid Turbo's owners in covering a significant portion of the costs. This, combined with a 25% hardship discount provided by the hospital, allowed Turbo to receive his urgent surgery in order to greatly improve his health and quality of life. Turbo had his procedure performed by Dr. Zalesak in March and has recovered beautifully. He is now living pain-free and is happier and healthier than ever!
The Broomfield Cares Fund specifically targets these types of "urgent care" situations where a pet has a good prognosis, but unexpected financial hardship keeps treatment just out of reach. Thanks to the generosity of Suveto and our many caring clients, pets like Turbo are given a chance to feel their best again. We thank each and every person who has contributed to making this fund possible.
