A healthy, shiny coat starts with what's happening inside the bowl!

Skin & coat health depends on a balanced diet providing the right combination of quality protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and moisture.

Fresh and raw foods can be great sources of these nutrients, especially when they're part of a complete and balanced diet.

Quality protein helps support healthy skin and hair growth.

RAW TALK: MYTH BUSTING

Adding raw or fresh food to your pet's routine doesn't have to mean completely changing their diet overnight. There are plenty of ways to start small and find what works for you and your pet.

🔄 ROTATE: Try kibble in the morning and raw or fresh at night (or vice versa). You can also experiment with periods of raw/fresh feeding followed by kibble.

🥄 TOP IT: Keep feeding your pet's regular kibble and add a little raw or fresh food on top. Fresh toppers, raw food, freeze-dried raw and fresh-cooked foods are all options.

🍲 START WITH ONE MEAL: You don't have to change every bowl. Try incorporating one raw or fresh meal into your routine and build from there.

The goal isn't perfection. It's finding an approach that works for your pet, your routine and your comfort level.

HYDRATION HACK:

When we think about hydration, we usually think about the water bowl. But for our pets, food can also be an important source of daily moisture.

Kibble is typically very low in moisture because it's cooked and dehydrated. Fresh and raw foods, on the other hand, naturally contain a much higher water content, helping your pet get moisture with every bite.

Why does this matter?
💧Hydration supports healthy digestion
💧Helps maintain normal urinary function
💧Supports healthy circulation and nutrient transport
💧Helps keep cells and tissues functioning properly
💧Can be especially helpful for pets who aren't big water drinkers - Cats, we're looking at you!

Think of it this way: your pet doesn't have to get all their hydration from the water bowl. Some of it can come from their food, too.

That's one of the reasons we loove fresh & raw feeding: real food brings real moisture to the bowl.
