Introducing our September Rehab Rockstar: Nala Napheys!

We started seeing Nala in May of 2024 for a progressive degeneration in her hind end called Lumbosacral Stenosis or LS Disease.

Nala is 11 years young and has been mom's baby and adventure buddy since she was just six weeks old. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Missouri, she’s spent her life climbing mountains, exploring trails, and finding every pond and river she can.

Urban Paw has been incredible with her rehab and getting her back to what she loves. Today, she may not be on a mountain peak, but she’s a happy girl back on her favorite mountain loop with plenty of pit stops and water along the way.

Her owner, Lauren, recently heard the term “soul dog,” and has never felt anything more. Nala loves her family fiercely, and they love her beyond words. She says they are so grateful to Urban Paw for helping keep their girl happy, strong, and adventuring.

The last picture shows her first time back on her favorite hiking trail "Nala's Loop" after her surgery!

We want to thank Lauren and her family for taking such great care of Nala and bringing her to see us. We love Nala and we are so happy to see her doing so well.
