Ákos just turned 6 months old and has already added a few letters to his name—AKC Star Puppy, Novice Trick Dog and NAVHDA NA.

We decided to try our natural ability test, yes oh so early for a 6-month boy, but was happy with the outcome, NAVHDA NA Pz2 😊

Pouring rain, first dog on the line, and he wasn’t sure what the large cut strips were all about, we usually go for a walk on mowed strips?! 😂 His puppy brain might have got the best of us, but he’s just 6 months old and a boy with a lot of growing and learning ahead of him.

Pretty proud of this young guy and excited to see where he goes from here! ❤️

Yikes… where did the time go?!

Ákos is just shy of 6 months old, and he is doing well! He definitely keeps us busy. Surprise, surprise… he loves to work, so I’m constantly trying to stay one step ahead of him. 😂

Field work, water, tracking, agility, obedience, conformation and home manners—we’re keeping him busy and learning something new every day.

He’s always trying to outsmart us… and, honestly, sometimes I think he’s winning! Lol. ❤️🐾

Ákos Update -12–13 Weeks

We’ve packed a lot of experiences into these last few weeks, and I continue to be amazed by how focused this young boy is. He genuinely loves to work.

So far, he has been introduced to quail, chukar, pigeons, and ducks. He absolutely loves the water and watching him swim across the pond so effortlessly still makes me a little nervous. His nose is off the charts—he’s a natural tracker and doesn't miss game in the field.

Ákos also has an incredible ability to read the room. Whether it’s being gentle around the grandkids or understanding when Henry is reminding him not to get out of line, he seems to know exactly how to adjust.

I know our journey together will be filled with learning and understanding each other, but most of all, I’m looking forward to simply enjoying his presence and watching him grow.

Flair Earns NAVHDA Utility Prize 1

I am so proud to announce that Flair earned her NAVHDA Utility Prize 1 this past weekend.

What makes this accomplishment especially meaningful is the journey behind it. Just eleven weeks after whelping her litter, Flair returned to the Utility Test with only two training sessions on a very large duck search pond. Despite the limited preparation, she stepped back into the field as though she had never left, confidently demonstrating the drive, intelligence, and determination that make her such a special dog.

The large pond, complete with ample aquatic vegetation, allowed Flair to fully showcase her natural duck search abilities. She performed with confidence throughout the test and did not miss a beat.

This achievement is particularly rewarding because Flair came to us as an adult dog and trusted our training and has done nothing but impress us with her talent. In that relatively short time, she has exceeded every expectation, developing into a talented hunting companion, devoted family dog, and outstanding representative of the qualities we strive to preserve in our breeding program.

As a Nemes offspring, Flair holds a special place in our hearts. Earning a Utility Prize 1 is a wonderful milestone, and we could not be prouder of her accomplishment.

We are also grateful to the SEMI Chapter for hosting such a well-run test, and to all of the volunteers and judges whose time and dedication make these opportunities possible.

The Noble Grandsons Litter…

Ákos — our keeper, pronounced (Ah-kosh), meaning “falcon,” a symbol of strength, focus, and noble heritage.

His registered name, Nemes Noble Legacy, was chosen to honor his grandfather, Nemes.

Ákos reminds us so much of Nemes, it’s hard not to do a double take—not just in his looks, but in his personality. He already has so much character—playful, a bit clownish, and highly perceptive. He’s very aware of his surroundings and seems to read a room better than some. At the same time, he is focused and loves to work.

He also carries the best attributes of his parents: a sweet temperament and a natural inclination to seek out a lap to cuddle into when his little body turns to putty.

Outside is his world. His natural prey drive is evident in the way he uses his nose and constantly tests boundaries—whether it’s a fast-flowing creek, heavy cover, or chasing and pointing the many game birds around the property.

The Noble Grandsons Litter......

Hank (formerly Puppy 2, “Tűz” — Hungarian for Fire) has officially settled into his new name and his new life.

His registered name is Nemes Eternal Flame, chosen to honor and align with his mother’s registered name.

Hank looks so much like his mother and should develop a nice, tight wire coat just like hers. His temperament is equally special — sweet, loving, and happiest when being held or cuddled. At the same time, he has that little fire in his belly: brave, confident, with a strong prey drive, and the ability to relax and rest anywhere.

Hank is now living his best life on a large ranch in Texas with a wonderful family, where he’ll spend his days chasing blue quail and enjoying wide‑open country.

Hank will remain part of our breeding program as he matures.

Week eight Flair X Zenit puppies - The Noble Grandsons Litter....

Our last week together, so many emotions, but happy for both their futures 🥰

Week seven Flair X Zenit puppies - The Noble Grandsons Litter....

The time has gone by fast. I am dreading having to part with either one of them. We have spent so much time outside, expanding their environment and giving them lots of bird exposure. Their confidence, sweet demeanor, and prey drive are exactly what we hoped for, along with beautiful wire coats and strong bone structure.

Week six Flair X Zenit puppies - The Noble Grandsons Litter....

We spent a lot of time outside as the weather finally cooperated. Their first stack pics which was harder than I expected. Lots of first experiences in the field and otherwise.
