Good morning.

Today is a big day for the animals in Jefferson County, PA, specifically for a dog named Whitney and a ball python that is now known as Slinky.

If you are interested in seeing the court system in action protecting the animals in Jefferson County, today would be the day to be at the Reynoldsville Court, 453 Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851 - time 11:30 a.m.

If you are interested in seeing what we at Willow Run Sanctuary & Adoptions, the Humane Society Police Officer and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department engage in to advocate for the animals, today is the day.

**It is most important to inform that the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department discovered, initiated and pursued this specific case. We were infinitely privileged to be able to have HSPO McAndrew's input requested while the care of the physical animals was entrusted to WRSA. Thank you, Dustin, for accepting Slinky on the spot. With your expert knowledge of reptiles, Slinky is thriving and enjoying a new life.**

If you ever had questions as to why certain cases end up the way they do, you can possibly learn more about that today.

Once this case has been decided upon, pictures and the larger story will be made available to you - our friends, neighbors and animal advocates.

Willow Run Sanctuary and Jefferson Humane stand firm on advocating for these animals to the largest degree possible. Without putting words in the mouth's of others, it is clear that the Sheriff's Department feels the same way.

If your schedule is open, come.

Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing - and thank you for caring about the animals.

- Margo and Team WRSA

**MEET THE VENDORS AT WOLFSTOCK 2026!!

Good morning, everyone!

We think we are safe in saying Happy Fall to all!

The Holiday Season is just around the corner! Come to Wolfstock 2026 on Saturday, October 10 to find unique gifts for those on
The Good List! 🙂

There are extremely talented people knitted into our local and surrounding communities! These people can also be known as Event Vendors but are very individual in their talents and artistry! Come to Wolfstock on Saturday, October 10 to not only meet interesting and talented people that are "set up" at Wolfstock - but to also support them with a purchase that you might make at larger stores or online from mega companies. If we keep commerce among the business owners funneling into our communal populations, we are doing our share of taking care of our own house, so to speak. Give it a try!

From handcrafted jewelry and keepsakes to handmade cedar items to include wood decor, flower boxes as well as "made to order" items and more - one will also be able to browse items and accessories specifically for your pets - and more! If there is something you are looking for but unable to locate, just ask! Birds of a feather flock together! Most likely, you will be pointed to a local business that has exactly what you are looking for!

You will find so many curios and unique items right here in Punxsutawney, there is no need to go further!

If you would like to be a Vendor at Wolfstock 2026, there is still time! Send a text to (570) 357 4070 with your email address and request a Vendor Registration Form. There is NEVER a table charge to come and enjoy a fun day at Wolfstock!

Following is a list Vendors - also known as our neighbors and friends - that will be at Wolfstock on Saturday, October 10!

- "Bows by Mads" - Mady Mills, Punxsy, PA

- "Face Painting by Oshia" - Oshia Bushee, Indiana, PA

- "Kozy Little Chaos Crafting Company" - Caitlin Campbell,
Punxsy, PA

- "Pet Photos by Lacey" - Lacey Shaffer, Punxsy, PA

- "Murray Creations, LLC" - Mike Murray & Sara Murray, Punxsy, PA

- "Viv's Creative Crafts" - Vivian Gordon, Punxsy, PA

We want to see you at Wolfstock 2026! Please come to support WRSA in its mission to protect all animals from harm in Jefferson County through humane law enforcement. The icing on the cake will be that you are also supporting the businesses that stand up for the animals time after time, year after year.

Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing - and thank you for caring about the animals!

UPDATE -

Good morning, all!

*The Brockway 5 as we know it is an active humane case. We will see it through, holding whomever is responsible for the gross, indecent mishandling of these innocent dogs and puppies.*

Willow Run Sanctuary & Adoptions is in need of one last large bag of the pictured food for the Brockway 5 dogs that have been here since the middle of August 2026.

Please text (570) 357 4070 if you are able to donate any size bag of the specific pictured food for the dogs. This step of of their rehabilitation process of feeding regular, healthy meals with this high end Science Diet food will then be concluded. Of course regular, healthy meals will continue on for life, but the dogs can be weaned to a well balanced, more reasonably priced food.

Willow Run sends out a huge "THANK YOU" to Joyce F. and Dave K. for your donations of this food thus far!! You have really helped the situation here involving the Brockway 5 currently at Willow Run!
Update regarding the dogs:

Housebreaking - eliminating outdoors on normal walks. We have wrangled what seemed an impossible job in August to a well oiled machine in October - leash walking. All dogs have finally adapted to leash walking! Leash walking is necessary in order to be housebroken for which all dogs including the two puppies now are! What a milestone!

Jumping - another dilemma to fix with all of the dogs, puppies included. Jumping has diminished to practically zero.

Licking - excessive licking the person upon greeting the dogs has all but disappeared. Stopping the licking was a difficult task to address. 🙂 Dogs also lick, but his was different. So, that is also fixed. Dogs develop habits like the above through being neglected and/or completely ignored. It has taken all this time, day by day, for the dogs to realize they are wanted and welcome. So, we have really climbed mountains here. This particular group of dogs was a challenge. They will soon be posted for adoption. We will be needing your help again for that.

**Please remember, the two Brockway puppies - Honey and Jack - are available for adoption. They need great homes. If you are wanting to adopt a puppy, please apply for Honey or Jack. We responded to the plea of the community when the dogs were in peril and brought them to the safety of Willow Run. Now, they are here and need your help once again to find responsible homes. If you ever wanted to adopt a "rescued" dog or puppy, now is your chance. Coming out of a true animal neglect situation, you will have adopted a bona fide rescue dog or puppy. We are saddened to say that, but it is true. Pictured below is Jack, the tan pup while Honey is the apricot pup.**

Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing - and thank you for caring about the Brockway 5.

Sincerely,
Margo at Team WRSA

*NOTE: Puppy food for Honey and Jack is plentiful at this time. The above adult Science Diet food will feed the 3 young females from the Brockway 5 - Norah, Autumn and Ellie. Pictures will be posted when we can in view of the ongoing charges being filed. Thank you, again.

Peace.

Good morning, friends!

Willow Run Sanctuary & Adoptions is asking for donations of dry kibble food for puppies and cats. The specific varieties are pictured below.

Large bags of these foods are usually purchased as we have large numbers of animals to feed. 🙂 Willow Run currently houses 13 dogs, 30 cats and 3 rabbits under its roof, directly on premise. Any size bags will be graciously accepted. Both varieties can be found at Tractor Supply. They are also available at Walmart and online through Chewy and Amazon. We can curbside pick up at Tractor Supply or go wherever we must to pick it up.

All of the animals that Willow Run receives and cares for have been emergency arrivals - totally unexpected - and require extensive care, training and rehabilitation. Not one emergency arrival is ever the same as the one before or the one after. Never. It is a different circumstance every single time. In the long haul, some of the animals can never be available for adoption for various reasons connected to their abuse and neglect. In that case, they can call Willow Run their home for life. Many of the animals right now are part of ongoing court cases that Willow Run has not yet been awarded ownership of through the court system. Those animals remain here, cared for just as the others are, until further notice. Currently, Willow Run has an estimated $10,000 tied up in these court cases alone. The reason why we have this amount tied up is because we answered the plea of the people to visit locations where animals appeared in peril. Many times, the person that reports is correct, other times the situation can be fixed. When the person is correct, Willow Run receives the animals in and provides immediate veterinary care for every single one without question and without delay. Then, tomorrow arrives, so on, so forth. We just keep moving along until the next ones arrive - so on, so forth. So, if you can find it within yourself to donate a bag or two of the pictured food, it is really going to help us help the animals. We are really going to appreciate your donation.

Pictured below are two of the puppies that will benefit from your mindful donation. These puppies are ready to be adopted. One may text (570) 357 4070 or email [email protected] for an adoption application and more information. Jack is on the left while Honey is on the right.

We thank you for reading, we thank you for sharing - most of all we thank you for caring about the animals.

- Margo and Team WRSA

Peace.

Available for adoption!

Meet JACK. 🙂

Jack is approximately 6 months young and has veterinarian clearance to begin his search for a lifelong adoptive home!

Jack has received his "puppy" vaccinations and is parvovirus free. He has passed his health quarantine period and he is free to go!

Jack is a hound mix and weighs approximately 16 pounds. He will increase in weight to reach approximately 35-40 pounds.

Jack is practically housetrained but will require monitoring every few hours to avoid accidents. He sleeps through the night from 9 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. when he whimpers to go outdoors. Of course this time schedule can be altered to fit your lifestyle. Jack is crate trained but should spend little time crated. Jack is playful and gets along with other dogs. He is cat friendly.

Please contact [email protected] to receive an adoption application and other information regarding Jack. You can also TEXT (570) 357 4070 for the quickest response.

A $300 adoption donation applies for all puppies and dogs adopted from Willow Run Sanctuary & Adoptions,

*Jack is part of the Brockway Five dogs that arrived at Willow Run on August 11. As a result of Good Samaritan "K" reporting to Willow Run a disturbing picture circulating on "Hometown Brockway", the Brockway PD and HSPO McAndrew promptly went to the residence to take care of the situation. Jack, along with the other dogs, were owner surrendered to Willow Run without incident. This situation is an open investigation with pending charges. The pictures are of Jack now and then.*

Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing - thank you for caring about Jack.

UPDATE:

Thank you, Connie, for your $25 donation!

We hope everyone had a lovely Easter holiday with family and friends! Now, we wait for spring while dodging the snowflakes today! 🙂

We have found it necessary to have a dog trap available. Therefore, Willow Run Sanctuary & Adoptions took the step to purchase one that can be utilized by any rescue or person that has a need for it. *Dog Wardens* are scarce if not entirely absent, meanwhile dogs run, starve and stand to be further neglected due to insufficient resources. If you need the trap, contact (570) 357 4070. We will guide you through and will always find an answer for the straying dogs.

We would like to recover the cost of the trap, about $150, so it can be placed directly back into the care of physical animals living at Willow Run. If you are reading and can spare a few dollars, we will thank you in advance for helping this cause. Monies in excess of the cost of the trap will be wisely utilized to benefit the animals on and off the Willow Run premise.

The link below is for reference only. The exact trap has already been purchased.

We may be quiet, but we are working tirelessly every single day for the well being of all animals, both near and far.

Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing - and thank you for caring about the animals.

Sincerely,
Margo and Team WRSA
