🐾 Leroy’s 3-Week Post-Op Update! 🐾

Leroy is officially 3 weeks post-op, and we’re happy to say he is doing WONDERFUL! ❤️

The last few weeks have been a little challenging because, well… Leroy doesn’t exactly believe in the concept of “taking it easy.” 😂 Keeping this boy calm and restricted has been a full-time job!

But he’s done great, all of his sutures came out beautifully, and now he can start having a little more freedom and gradually get back to doing more of the things he loves. He’ll also be able to start interacting with more people and some of his four-legged friends around here. 🐕🐾

And apparently, he’s already decided he’s ready to get back to work. He made an attempt to go after one of the chickens—because apparently bird dog is still very much in his vocabulary! 😂🐔

Luckily, the chicken lived to see another day, Leroy didn’t get his feathers ruffled, and all’s well that ends well!

We’re so proud of this boy and how well he’s recovering. Here’s to more freedom, more fun, and hopefully fewer chicken-related incidents! ❤️

Bohdi stopped by for some one-on-one training time with Jason. This sweet guy NEVER disappoints! 😍

Jason did some training, Bohdi got some luvin’ and then he smiled for the camera! Something tells me he’s never been shy in front of the lens! 😊❤️

Leroy’s Post-Surgery Update 🐾💙

A little update on our sweet boy, Leroy! He is doing very well following his surgery on Monday and is already feeling much more like himself. ❤️

For the next three weeks, though, he has to take it easy! He is on restricted activity, which means leash walks only, no running, jumping, playing, or getting too crazy—even though Leroy would very much like to disagree with those rules. 😂

He is taking his pain medication, along with a medication that is supposed to help keep him a little calmer and more sedated. So far… let’s just say Leroy hasn’t exactly gotten that memo. 😆 He is feeling pretty good and would happily convince us that he is ready to get back to his normal GSP activities!

The good news is that his surgeon is very pleased with his progress and believes Leroy should go on to live a happy, active life as the GSP he was meant to be! 🐕❤️

Now we just need to convince Leroy that “rest and recover” is an actual activity. 😂

Chloe is a very sweet 3 1/2 year-old yellow Labrador retriever. She is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations and she is spayed. Chloe has been good with kids and other dogs, unsure about cats. Help us find Chloe that perfect home!
