M.N.DAVIS & SON is a small company in Brooklyn, NY that offers two lines of unique products. Milltown Brand products are unique, hand crafted items such as totes, pouches and coin purses etc.. that stands out from mass produced accessories. Handmade by the designer herself on antique Juki and Singer sewing machines using choice fabrics like waxed canvas, denim, and vintage reproduction prints. The M.N.DAVIS & SON line of silk screened tote bags feature original designs, inspired by vintage advertising, and are hand printed in Brooklyn on natural canvas. Great care and attention to detail goes into every bag that we make, in the hope that these products will become special and meaningful to whomever receives them!

Meet Fabrizia Vanetta - the artist behind , the Milltown Dog Goods logo, and our limited-edition anniversary mug. ☕️

Fabrizia is a visual artist, art educator, and dog lover from Berlin whose work is deeply connected to rescue. After adopting Pepa, an Italian Segugio mix, in 2016, she became involved in supporting Italian shelter dogs and strays. In 2019, she helped establish Hundehilfe Toskana e.V., creating its logo and helping shape the organization’s visual identity.

Visits to Italian shelters introduced her to countless unforgettable dogs and inspired . Through simple, flowing black-ink lines, Fabrizia captures the individuality, movement, and spirit of each animal she draws.

Our shared passion for rescue dogs is what makes this collaboration so meaningful. To celebrate the first anniversary of our Greenpoint shop, Fabrizia’s artwork now appears on a limited-edition Milltown mug - a small piece of art honoring dogs, rescue, and one very special year. 🐾

We had so much fun with our Pawtrait sessions this spring, we’re bringing them back—with a little Halloween twist. 👻

Join us Sunday, October 25 for a cozy Halloween Pawtrait Pop-Up at the new Milltown Dog Goods Attic.

This time, we’re creating a more private, relaxed photo session away from the foot (and paw 🐾) traffic of the shop—giving you, your pup, and your family your own little moment in front of the camera.

Each reservation includes:
🐾 15-minute private professional photoshoot
📸 2 beautifully retouched photos
🎃 You + your pup, just your pup, or bring the whole family!

And because it’s Halloween… we highly encourage the whole family to dress up! 👻

Coordinate with your pup, come in matching costumes, or go completely over the top. We want to see it. 🎃🐶❤️

Puppy training is mostly rewarding the good decisions and cleaning up the…less successful ones.
Our current Oscar essentials: the 2 Way Treat Case for quick rewards on walks and potty-training stain and odor remover for the moments that do not earn a treat.
It can be worn around the waist or over the shoulder, with separate spaces for treats, small essentials, and waste bags—because leaving the house with a puppy is never just “leaving the house.”

He’s still learning. We’re still cleaning. Everyone is doing their best.

He’s a rescue puppy from Pupstarz Rescue, aspiring shop dog, professional sock thief, and the newest model to join our team!

His DNA results are officially in:
50% Boxer
43.9% Standard Poodle
6.1% Golden Retriever

And, according to our own highly scientific analysis, 100% good boy. 🤎

Milltown’s first dog product began with Brownie, a few leftover pieces of canvas, and a problem that needed a better-looking solution. ♻️

At the time, I was making toiletry kits and couldn’t bring myself to throw away the smaller fabric scraps. After adopting Brownie, I realized they were just the right size for something we suddenly needed every day: a dog waste bag dispenser.

That simple experiment became our very first dog product - and, in many ways, the beginning of Milltown Dog Goods. ❤️

More than 12 years later, it’s still one of our favorites and a reminder that thoughtful design doesn’t always begin with a big idea. Sometimes, it starts with using what you already have to make everyday life a little better.

Let me reintroduce myself — I’m Mariko, the person behind Milltown. 👋❤️

People often ask how big the Milltown team is.

The honest answer? Most days, it’s me - with a little supervision from May and our new puppy, Oscar. ❤️

I design the products, prepare them for production, unpack shipments, count inventory, photograph new arrivals, update the website, pack online orders, create event flyers, film content, and sew our custom chain-stitch embroidery. Four days a week, I also open and run our Greenpoint shop myself.

Running a small business means doing a little bit of everything, and usually finding dog hair on something I just lint-rolled.

It’s a lot of work, but getting to meet our customers and their dogs in person makes every long day worth it. Milltown has always been built with love, passion, and the wonderfully messy reality of sharing life with dogs.

Two very good girls earned their merit badges 🎖️🐾

Wendy + Marley’s bandanas, chain stitched one at a time on my old Cornely machine, then finished with our Scout’s Honor Good Girl badges.

Still one of my favorite things about making these — every name that goes under the needle belongs to somebody’s very special dog. ❤️🐶
