With nearly a quarter of pet owners saying they would consider looking for a new job that allows pets in the office, the importance of pet wellbeing should not be undervalued by employers.

Now as more offices become pet friendly we want to share tips for helping your dog become 'office-ready' and ensuring they are comfortable in the new environment 🐶

1. On your dog’s first visit to the office allow for time to explore the new surroundings when there are not many people or other dogs around.

2. Try 10–15 minutes of sniffy walking around outside the office before you go into work.

3. You may wish to relocate your workspace if your desk is near a throughway and your dog prefers peace and quiet. Another example could be avoid sitting near a window if your dog becomes excited/protective/anxious by passers-by.

4. Best practice for greeting a dog is to ask a colleague to step away and quietly call your dog for gentle affection under the chin.

5. If your dog has something that smells like home which they can relax in, they will feel much more comfortable in a new environment.

An Instagram-famous cat has escaped war-torn Ukraine and found safety and refuge in France amid Russia's bombing of the city of Kharkiv.

Stepan, 13, who has more than one million followers on the platform, became popular thanks to his amusing photos thanks to his singature grumpy poses. 

His owner (a woman called Anna) updates his Instagram account () regularly, so when it went silent for almost two weeks, with no posts between March 3 and 16, fans started to worry they may have been hurt or killed by attacks on Kharkiv, where they live.

Anna took to the platform this week to reassure followers, and let them know Stepan and she are safe, and have found refuge in France after leaving Ukraine.
