We are looking for the perfect forever home for our hospital cat Gimli. He is a 2 year old, neutered male, fully vaccinated, and fiv/felv negative. Gimli is a very special boy with a special story. When Gimli was a few months old he arrived at MBVC very sick. We treated what we could (parasites, ear mites, ringworm, GI issues) but he never seemed to improve. Gimli wasn't growing and sluggish. After running many tests and consulting specialists, we discovered he has congenital hypothyroidism, this condition occurs in less than 1% of cats. He's so unique!!😱 Although hypothyroidism is a lifelong condition, it will not affect his life span and is managed with medication.
