🐾💚 POV: daycare with your bestie 💚🐾

Shirley has been part of the Ivy Pets family since she was just a tiny puppy 🥹 From her vaccines to her spay surgery, we’ve watched her grow into the sweetest daycare regular.

Now she comes to daycare 4 days a week alongside Duke, who has also been with us for years! From vaccines and neuter surgery to grooming and daycare days, these two have truly grown up with us. 💚

Seeing their friendship, personalities, and routines become part of our everyday life is one of the best parts of what we do 😭🐶

Rocket came in for his Monday freshen-up and left looking extra handsome 💚✂️

Nothing better than starting the week with a clean coat, fresh trim, and happy tail wags. 🛁🐶

This groom was done by our groomer, Ash (they/them) ✨ Ash is here every week except Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

There’s nothing we love more than seeing these transformations and helping pets feel comfortable, clean, and confident.

Meet Ivan. 🐾
This 7-year-old Sphinx came to us on November 6th, 2025 — and his owners were ready to give up. Years of chronic diarrhea, IBD, and perianal inflammation had taken their toll. They wanted to euthanize him.
We said no.
As a team, we knew Sphinxes are prone to IBD, and we knew Ivan deserved a fighting chance. So we convinced his owners to let us keep him as our hospital cat — diapers and all. 💙
Over the past months, Ivan has had every diagnostic test possible, multiple dietary changes, and endless love from our team. And guess what? We finally found a routine that works.
Now it’s time for Ivan to find his forever home. 🏠
We’re flying Ivan to Florida, where a wonderful woman named Jennifer — who already has two Sphinxes of her own — is ready to welcome him as her new son.

🚨 Midwood community — please take a moment to read.

Rabid raccoons have recently been confirmed in Midwood and nearby Sheepshead Bay. Because this is our neighborhood too, we felt it was important to share this update with the families and pets we care for every day.

Rabies is preventable, but it is also serious. Staying proactive now can protect your pets and our community.

Please make sure your dog or cat is current on their rabies vaccine, supervise pets outdoors, and be cautious of any wildlife contact. Even indoor pets can be at risk if they slip outside or if wildlife enters the home.

For our TNR and rescue clients, we especially encourage extra caution when handling community cats or animals with unknown exposure history.
