A Little Turtle Wellness Goes a Long Way! 🐢

This adorable Chinese Box Turtle stopped by HEAL for his routine exotic wellness visit! Along with a full nose-to-tail checkup, he got a little spa treatment a precision beak and nail trim to keep him looking and feeling his absolute best. We have to mention what a sweet and incredibly patient little guy he was throughout his visit!

Did you know that exotic pets like turtles need regular checkups just like dogs and cats? Here’s why turtle wellness visits are so important:

Overgrown beaks can make eating tricky and painful, while long nails can catch on substrate or cause foot issues. Regular trims keep them eating happily and moving comfortably!

Turtles are masters at hiding when they aren't feeling well. Routine checkups help us spot subtle health changes early!

A turtle's environment lighting, humidity, temperature, and diet is essential to their health. Wellness visits are a great time to make sure their setup is perfectly tailored to their species.

Healthy shell, happy feet, and one very sweet turtle! 🐢💚
