Some people love e-collars, some people don’t. I’m somewhere in the middle: every tool has its place. I’ll work with your dog with or without equipment, and I’ll explain the pros and cons so you can make an informed choice.
When I first got into dog training, I wasn’t a fan of e-collars based on what I’d read online. My perspective changed as I learned how to introduce and use them thoughtfully. This video shows the introductory conditioning process. It’s one part of the training, and it doesn’t represent every level or every way the tool may be used later on.
I’m sharing this to give you a clearer look at what the introduction can involve. E-collars aren’t the right fit for every dog or every owner, and I don’t recommend trying to use one without guidance from a qualified professional.
