When I walked into the ceramics studio( ) one artist called me and shared these photos. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 . Started following Lil Nas when my studio assistant asked me to look at his video of Call me by your name. I liked the art, graphics, creativity, colors in that song. Always follow him since then. My Bachelors Degree final thesis was about “Women Hair Styles in Africa” I read and researched and all my sculptures and art works where about hair styles. This takes me back to look at African hair styles. Not a coincidence that all my gals ( sculptures) have these huge hair styles. .

This photo from my archives taken 4 years ago( 2017) when I was doing Uber on my bicycle. What I enjoy on my journey I always took photos whenever it was a tough day. I always smiled and just be thankful of each day I never gave up. I never cried about tough days but always dreamed big and just worked , but God is indeed good and he’s been so good to me. That day it was over 100 degrees, Jacob just remembers these days like yesterday. It’s been along Journey we still stand as family and friends.

Just in !!!!!! 6 of them ready to be transformed. I use found materials and also wood from Lumber yards, because it’s found and re-sold. It’s quite complicated because I never know how the wood will react at the end of the day. But it’s a learning process that I have included in my practice. Have learnt to be more patient and accepting to all the materials around me. Which every one should learn towards one another. “Being patient and acceptance towards each other.” Let’s wait for the new gals to come out of these logs. .

A must watch for those New York, it’s always too much and am also not sure when and what to share. Last month I finally met who curated my talk with Yinka shinobare she’s among a group show at social works 555 west 24 st great artist, yesterday opening , spent a few days with my in the pines with the gals doing there thing. We have a performance coming up in the pines on Sunday come see it. And don’t forget the king, the boy , the gal her self Babirye Leilah has a solo show still up those in London. Let go see some art.
