Sonia's Pet Grooming The result is that a dog leaves my salon
feeling good and looking good. And that’s not in their genes, believe me.

For the last ten years or so, I’ve been living a dream: doing something I love, doing it the way I believe is right, and doing it with people I like. I call this dream; Sonia’s Pet Grooming – a dog-grooming salon where my assistants and I connect with my clientele and their pet-parents one-at-a-time, where bonds of trust are created and nurtured. The result is that a dog leaves my salon feeling go

od and looking good – some even look forward to returning. After 100,000 years of evolving from the gray wolf, dogs haven't developed a hunger for being combed, brushed, bathed, dried, scissored, shaved, brushed and combed some more. To say nothing about putting up with having their ears cleaned and nails trimmed.

🐶 Dog Groomer Assistant – Private Boutique (One-on-One Care)
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dog Groomer Assistant to join our small, private grooming boutique. This is a one-on-one grooming environment focused on quality care, patience, and attention to detail.
Position Overview:
As a Groomer Assistant, you will support the lead groomer in providing a calm, safe, and personalized experience for each dog. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience who wants to grow in the grooming field.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with bathing, drying, brushing, and basic coat preparation
• Help safely handle dogs during grooming sessions
• Support nail trimming, ear cleaning, and general hygiene tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
• Prepare tools and grooming stations before and after each appointment
• Ensure each dog feels comfortable and cared for throughout their visit
Requirements:
• Some prior experience working with dogs (grooming, daycare, vet, or similar)
• Basic knowledge of dog behavior and handling
• Willingness to learn grooming techniques and grow in the role.
• Strong work ethic, reliability is a must, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and patient with dogs of different temperaments.
• Genuine love for animals
What We Offer:
• Calm, private boutique environment
• One-on-one experience with dogs
• Supportive, team-oriented atmosphere.
Hours vary based upon bookings. I will need assistance Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each day, assistant will know schedule for the following day. To begin, wages are $16/hour.

- Must have basic prep skills: Bathing, drying, fluffing, brushing, and combing.
- Physical strength
- It is a Part-time Job: I am flexible about hours and guarantee a weekly minimum.
- Pay: From $15.00/hour
