You are all amazing! Due to the volume of texts and phone calls we had received about scheduling on Wednesday, the phone ended up freezing up and crashing. We are working diligently to get everyone in when we can, so please be patient. We are working on a first come, first serve basis.

Moving forward, we will no longer be taking regular appointments and the office will be closed on Thursdays. We will be available for emergencies as needed. Just a reminder, that if you have an emergency please call and leave a voicemail. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
**If you already have appointments scheduled on Thursday throughout the fall, your appointment will not be changed and will remain at its current time.**

The clinic will be open for normal business hours Monday-Wednesday and Friday for all appointments and medication pickup.

Scheduling for spring and summer 2027 is now open! Please call or text Trace at (605)-651-9327 to get on the schedule. Do not wait as the schedule is filling up.

All work, with a little play 🎨

Last week, our team had the chance to step away from the clinic for a little fun together. We headed down the road to Three Barn Acres, where we put our creative hats on and enjoyed an afternoon of pottery.

While we may not all be professional artists, we had a great time laughing, making memories, and letting our perfectionist sides shine just a little. We're grateful for opportunities like these to connect outside of work and enjoy each other's company!

This is such a great episode featuring Dr. Beeman, one of the cornerstones of Littleton Equine. His recent loss makes it that much more special. If you have some extra time, give it a listen. Today the veterinary and horse world says goodbye to Dr. Marvin Beeman.

We had the honor of having him on our podcast a few years ago and wanted to reshare. His knowledge and reputation is unmatched in the industry after 65+ years as a practicing equine veterinarian. This episode is truly special, having the chance to talk to him about the advances in equine vet medicine over the last 6 decades and some of his favorite moments in his career.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues from Littleton Equine Medical Center and all that knew him.

It's ! Help us celebrate all the veterinary professionals that help our animals (especially our equine friends) thrive and live long, happy lives!

If you are looking for ways to say “thank you” to your veterinary team, there are plenty of options. However, it’s very possible that the best way to thank your horse doctors and equine vet techs and assistants is to make their job easier.

1. Payment is expected in full at the time of service. For field calls, we will require you to have a card on file prior to us coming to the appointment.

2. If you have an unpaid balance, you will not receive any further services until it is paid, unless you are on a current payment plan.

3. If your account is flagged for previous non-payment, you will be required to pre-pay for services.

4. We will offer payment plans as long as we have a current credit card on file and have agreed on a payment plan. When making a payment plan, it will be drafted and signed off by both parties.

5. Non-client fees still apply as usual. For emergencies, a non-client fee and emergency fee are due prior to services being performed.

While we have always tried to offer flexibility, the increasing number of unpaid invoices and increased accounts receivable has made it necessary to adjust our policy.

We value and appreciate our clients who pay promptly and understand the importance of supporting our business. Making this change allows us to continue providing the quality care and services you expect. If you have any questions regarding this policy change, please feel free to contact us.

Last week, we got together as a team to celebrate Tayler and all the work she has contributed to East River Equine over the years. Tayler recently graduated from SDSU and is moving back home to start her next adventure! While we are sad to see her go, we know she will continue to do great things.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE!

We have started to break ground. Over the next couple of months, there will likely be more traffic than normal when pulling into the clinic. We ask that you are patient with us during this time. We promise you will benefit in the long run. ☺️

In the meantime, enjoy our construction plans for the upcoming building. We are excited to offer some unique opportunities with all the extra space.
