Just a few requests! We are running low on paper towels and go home leashes for the adopted dogs. If anyone has extra of those and would like to drop some off at 828 Railroad Street, Brookings, we would appreciate it!

🎂🐾 IT’S MADDIE MAY’S 5TH BIRTHDAY! 💛

All this beautiful Doberman mix wants for her birthday is a family of her own. 🥺

Maddie May loves most people, enjoys other dogs, and would make an amazing adventure buddy. She may be a little timid around men at first, but give her a little time and she’ll show you what a special girl she is. ❤️

Cats and kids are still unknown, but she’s ready for a fresh start and someone who will let her shine.

🎈 Want to wish Maddie May a Happy Birthday? Stop by the shelter and say hello! And of course, you never show up to a birthday party empty-handed! 😉 Toys, chew bones, and treats are always welcome! 🎁🦴🍪

Maybe YOU could be the birthday wish she’s been waiting for. 💕

CHIHUAHUA NAME RESULTS:

The person with the most likes was Mary Trost suggesting fall names! The babies will be here sometime this week! Please keep an eye on our page!

All applications that came through for them will need to be submitted again once they arrive, as the rules stated we weren't accepting any until they get here! We want to make it fair for the people that did wait. Thank you all for helping us name them! ❤️

Burt, aka Rumi, is 2 years 8 months old and is listed as a German Shepherd mix. He’s a handsome long-haired boy with a gentle, good-natured personality. ❤️

Rumi was adopted from us as a puppy, and now he has found himself back with us after his family unexpectedly lost their housing and had to relocate quickly. His brother, Sampson, is here with us too. He has also lived with a cat

He’s a sweet boy who just needs someone willing to give him a little TLC and help him get back to feeling his best. He has some matting around his ears that will need to be addressed, but underneath it all is a wonderful dog ready for a fresh start.
Email us if you’d like to meet Rumi at [email protected]
