I could tell you story after story after story about the things I’ve seen through the years at BAH. The rejoicing when a pet got well, the tears cried when a pet crossed the rainbow bridge, the list goes on. It’s not just loving on puppies and kittens all day. Sometimes just when they think they can’t take one more step, an emergency comes in and they forget all about the fatigue and it’s all hands on deck. They work like a well-oiled machine. They are multi-taskers at their finest. And I am honored to say they are BAH! Thank you for all that you do each and every day! You are very much appreciated!!

IT IS TIME FOR OUR ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

Please join us in welcoming our newest veterinarian, Dr. Anna-Michael Smith, to the Brookhaven Animal Hospital family! 🎉 She will be joining us Monday, August 10th!!

Dr. Smith grew up here in Brookhaven where her passion for agriculture and animal health inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Sciences from Mississippi State University before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2026.

Dr. Smith has a special interest in mixed animal medicine and enjoys caring for both large and small animals. She is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care while building lasting relationships with her clients and their animals. She is especially excited to serve the community she calls home.

When she's not in the clinic, you'll likely find her spending time with family and friends, her dog Levee, or working with cattle.

We are excited to have Dr. Smith on our team and look forward to the exceptional care she will provide to our patients and our community.

We will now have 4 veterinarians on staff at BAH!! You can book online at Brookhavenanimalhosp.com or you can call us at 601-833-1223.
