🎄 We’re already looking ahead to the holidays here at EBHS!

Register for the “Under The Mistlepaw” holiday pet photoshoot this November! These festive portraits are the perfect addition to your holiday cards and holiday decor. Our shelter pets had the best time testing out the new sets!

📸 We have two sessions by Fall Marie Photography available this year: One at EBHS and one located at Spa Paw & Tail!

A big thank-you to Robertson Ryan Insurance for spending their Community Service Day with us at EBHS! 💙

Their team washed windows, tackled some much-needed weeding, scrubbed floor trim, and spent time socializing a few of our pups. They also cleaned a whole lot of kennels following an animal transport, saving our animal care team valuable time! We put them to work, and they jumped right in! 🐾

Thank you for giving our shelter some extra TLC and supporting our animals with your generous donation. We’re so grateful for your time, energy, and kindness!

Some of our EBHS shelter dogs took a fun field trip to visit the Brookfield firefighters last week! 🐾🚒 They had a blast checking out the fire station, exploring the fire trucks, and, most importantly, testing out the recliners!

Getting our shelter animals out into the community makes such a difference, and we’re so grateful to the Brookfield Fire Department for welcoming our pups and showing them some love. ❤️ What a fun day it was!

We can’t wait to visit a few more Brookfield fire stations soon! Thanks for making our dogs feel right at home! 🐾

Adoption Update on Ember:

Her adopters said: "I just wanted to give you an update on Ember, she is doing wonderful! We are so happy to have adopted Ember. She has so many toys and cat houses all over our house. She loves the window beds she got for Christmas last year. Our other cat named Jim has gotten better with accepting her. He does have his moments where he is like, "I’m too old to deal with Ember's craziness". 😂 But they love each other."

"My oldest daughter has been talking Ember outside for walks and she has been loving being outside. Ember actually brought a chipmunk 🐿️ into our house a few weeks ago and it was hilarious. Thankfully, we were able to catch it and release it. Ember was so sad and tired trying get the chipmunk again by running back and forth by the patio door."

We want to recognize all of the hard work our community does for our shelter. 🐾 Students from Brookfield Academy spent their morning of community service lending a hand at EBHS!

They washed dishes, carriers, and litter boxes, made enrichment—including busy boxes for our dogs—and wrapped up with some puppy socializing!

Thank you for sharing your time, hard work, and enthusiasm with us. We’re grateful for your help caring for our shelter pets! 💙
