I visited my previous foster kitten, Bea, today at Hinsdale Humane Society.

She enjoyed a Churu treat. I am thinking of harness training her next! Bea is a total love that enjoys being held and petted. She likes treats, windows, and other cat friends.

There is no reason that she should still be looking for a home and family!

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

My cat, Lark, went to the vet recently for a behavior consultation. It was not very informative unfortunately. For someone with my background and training, being told to just wave a wand toy in Lark’s face multiple times a day was insulting.

Lark has misdirected predatory aggression. Also called play aggression. She targets me for her hunts and she bites. There is also something going on inside her body because eating wet food or freeze dried food makes her arousal and hyperactivity 10 times worse.

I honestly got a better plan put together using Google AI because at least the AI listened and didn’t argue with me! 😂 Plus it didn’t cost me anything unlike the several hundred dollar consult.

At least the vet did prescribe fluoxetine although getting Lark to take it will be a separate battle plan. I have a feeling I will need to get it compounded into a liquid.

All this to say that yes some pets need help with their broken brain and nervous system issues. It’s not just treating their body that vets should be focused on. And definitely pick a vet and team that will listen to your concerns instead of just write them off as typical play aggression. Trust me this is so much more. If you have concerns about your cats, I am here to listen. I am happy to share my knowledge and experience. I am not here to dismiss concerns or to gaslight you into thinking your situation is not real.

Bea is still looking for a home at Hinsdale Humane Society. She is good with being held and enjoys head scratches. Good with other cats too.

Bea is still at Hinsdale Humane Society looking for a new home. Please consider this very sweet kitty for your family. She is getting close to 5 months now. Growing up in the shelter is not what I envisioned for her future.

This is the face of a happy kitty! Buster had his dinner and playtime. Now he is settling in for a snooze on the couch. This could be your cat if you scheduled pet care with Dasha’s Pet Sitting Service!
