DO NOT EMAIL OR INQUIRE ABOUT NALA IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS. WE ARE NOT MAKING EXCEPTIONS.
❗ PHYSICALLY FENCED YARD WITH A 6-FOOT FENCE. NO EXCEPTIONS. An invisible fence, tie-out, or commitment to leash walks does NOT meet this requirement.
❗ NO CATS. Nala is not a candidate for a home with cats.
❗ ANY RESIDENT DOGS MUST BE ABLE TO TOLERATE A HIGH-ENERGY DOG. Nala does not need another dog in the home, but if you have one, it MUST be a good match for her energy level. Your 13-year-old dog with arthritis who prefers a quiet retirement is probably NOT going to appreciate Nala's enthusiasm. Please consider your resident dog's needs, too!
❗ YOU MUST BE COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ADEQUATE DAILY EXERCISE AND MENTAL ENRICHMENT. Nala is an active girl who needs more than a backyard to entertain herself. If you cannot provide the physical activity, stimulation, and engagement she needs, please do not inquire.

Nala is a 6-year-old retired girl from a reputable breeder who has clearly been very loved and well cared for — and now it's time for her to trade retirement from breeding for life as someone's spoiled family dog. 🥹
And when we say this girl is ready… she is READY!

✨ Fully vetted
✨ Regular yearly bloodwork
✨ Health testing completed
✨ Friendly, affectionate & LOVES people
✨ Not an aggressive bone in her body
Don't let 6 years old fool you — Nala has PLENTY of pep in her step! She's a high-energy girl who loves having room to run, play, and get her wiggles out. When she gets excited, she spins — which is adorable, but also why we think adults or older kids would be the best fit. 😂
Nala absolutely loves affection and is one of those dogs who will lean her entire body into you and MELT while you pet her. She loves people and genuinely just wants to be loved.
🏡 A LITTLE MORE ABOUT HER TRANSITION:
Nala has not traditionally lived as an indoor house dog. She currently has a large fenced area with indoor/outdoor access to a temperature-controlled building, so her foster or foster-with-intent-to-adopt (FWITA) family will need to give her patience, understanding, and grace while she learns what living inside a home is all about.
We don't expect her to walk into a home knowing all the rules. There may be accidents, new experiences, and an adjustment period. That's okay! We need someone willing to put in the time to help her succeed. 💛
If there are other dogs in the home, we'd recommend feeding separately as a simple precaution while everyone gets to know each other.
One thing we LOVE about this situation? Her breeder is not in a rush to place her. She can keep Nala as long as needed and wants the same thing we do: the RIGHT home where this girl will be loved for the rest of her life.
She'll even be freshly groomed before heading off to start her next chapter. 🥹

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE — READ THE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE REACHING OUT. We know Nala is beautiful. We know many people will fall in love with her picture. But loving how a dog looks and being the right home for that dog are two very different things.
Our responsibility is to find Nala a home where she will THRIVE, not simply a home willing to take her. And we owe that same consideration to the dogs already living in your home.

There were very few people that met her requirements (6 ft fence, no cats, no younger kids, and either no resident dogs or dogs that would enjoy her energy) on our waitlist and she did not get interest.
