It is misleading that retailers such as Walmart sell products labeled as “dog aspirin.” These are NOT special or safer ‼️ Aspirin has largely fallen out of favor and veterinarians use medications that are safer and more effective

Medications developed specifically for dogs like Rimadyl and Galliprant have more predictable safety profiles and better pain control.

Aspirin can cause stomach irritation and bleeding ulcers especially in elderly pets .

Because of these concerns, we recommend veterinary-guided pain management options rather than over-the-counter aspirin products.
