We are so happy to announce that Alexis passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) yesterday. She is now a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)!

Alexis has worked so hard for this achievement, and we are so proud of her. Alexis joined our team last summer for her practicum, and she became such a valuable part of the team that we had to hire her! She has grown so much in the last year, and plans to keep expanding her knowledge and improving her skills.

Alexis has always been drawn to animals. In high school, she was a part of the FFA and showed goats for all 4 years. She has always known she wanted to work with animals and loves being an advocate for her patients. She strives to make pets feel more comfortable at appointments by showering them with love and treats. She has one dog of her own, Poppi, who she adopted through the TCC Vet Tech program and also helps take care of her family’s dogs, bunny, and turtle. She is very close with her brother and mom.

We now have 5 RVT’s at our clinic. RVT’s are such an essential part of the veterinary field. They monitor surgery patients, run anesthesia, take radiographs, obtain lab samples, and handle client education. We are so excited to see our team grow!
