A different request… 🩵

We need some help with sign holders for the Pantry!

The magnetic “weatherproof” document holders we had on the Pantry did NOT hold up to Monday’s storm. Apparently, “weatherproof” and Oklahoma weather have very different definitions. 😂🌧️

For now, I have the signs tucked into page protectors and will use tape to attach them to the Pantry. Obviously, that’s not a long-term solution with fall weather approaching.

Chat suggested some actual weather-resistant holders… and they’re $64. 😳

And while we’d LOVE to have them, we’re currently paying off Dwight’s double knee surgeries AND he needs another Cytopoint injection. So if someone would like to donate some weatherproof sign holders to the Pantry, we would be incredibly grateful! 🩵

If not, no worries—we’ll keep trucking along with our fancy taped-up page protectors until they surrender. 😂

WOW!
We definitely should have started the Amazon Wishlist thing much sooner… y’all are keepin the pantry stocked to the brim!
Which is wonderful, because no joke, I fill it in the morning and when I check on it in the afternoon it’s nearly empty again, every day.

🐾 SURPRISE! Dwight Has an Amazon Wishlist! 😂

Okay, okay… you asked, and I finally did it. 😅

I’ve been asked MULTIPLE times if Dwight’s Rose District Pet Pantry has an Amazon Wishlist, or if there’s a way to simply donate money to help keep the pantry stocked.

I had hoped to not have to manage one more thing. Because apparently I enjoy making my life unnecessarily complicated. 😂

BUT… after seeing the pantry sitting nearly empty for an entire week, I decided it was time.

So, I’ve created an Amazon Wishlist with a few options for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. Nothing crazy or fancy—just the things that help keep those pantry shelves stocked for our neighbors who need a little help feeding their pets. ❤️

If you’ve ever wanted to help but weren’t sure what to donate, this makes it super easy. Pick an item, send it our way, and we’ll get it into the pantry where it can help someone who needs it.
Because this pantry belongs to the community, for the community. 🐾❤️

And Dwight would like everyone to remember that an empty pantry is unacceptable.

He has standards. Apparently. 😂

Well… I did my rounds today.

I sniffed every shelf.
I checked every corner.
I even looked behind the bags…

Official diagnosis: We are BARE. 😳

Mom says she’s sorry it’s been a little while since we’ve posted. Rescue life has been keeping everyone extra busy lately (which, apparently, is why I haven’t gotten nearly enough belly rubs either).

If you’ve been thinking about donating to Dwight’s Pet Pantry, now would be a pawsome time! Dog food, cat food, treats, litter, toys, cleaning supplies—we appreciate it all.

While I have everyone’s attention, Mom asked me to explain something important.

This pantry was created by the community, for the community. Its purpose is to help individual pet owners who are having a hard time, so they can keep their beloved pets fed and at home where they belong.

Now… my family loves rescue with our whole hearts. We live it every single day. But rescue organizations usually have wish lists, fundraisers, and amazing supporters who can help them when supplies run low. Many individual pet owners don’t have those same resources.

So, if you’re visiting the pantry on behalf of a rescue, we kindly ask that you leave these supplies for the families this pantry was created to help. That way, when someone’s beloved best friend needs dinner, there’s actually dinner on the shelf.

Thank you to every single person who has donated, shared our posts, or helped fill these shelves. You are the reason this pantry exists, and you’ve helped keep countless tails wagging.

Now… if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back to supervising. Someone has to make sure these shelves get refilled. (It’s a very important job.) ❤️

Sadly the Pantry was knocked around in the storm this evening. We will assess it in the morning, when the sun is out and the storms have stopped. Hopefully it’s not too bad! 😔 🩵
