Taking a break from the community clean-up to give Pete and Trooper some play time. Even missing a leg, Trooper is an absolute fetch machine who loves a good run. It does the dog no good to feel sorry for them, especially when they are still just as capable.

Back in May we had a Board &Train named Trooper who came along for our community clean-up effort. By afternoon's end we had collected over four full bags of loose garbage from our two block stretch of neighborhood. Our office is the street and more than just appearances, removing a lot of broken glass and hazards makes it safer for our K-9 friends as well. Not too hard if we all do our part.

Ever since her board and train concluded, Mazzie has been getting dropped off for bi-weekly play days (4-6 hours) with Pete to help supplement her exercise and activity requirements. One walk provided an excellent demonstration of not just the progress in Mazzie, but also how useful and attainable off leash control really is.

Mazzie is a rescue and her owners were having a difficult time with getting her the exercise and outdoor time she needed. Their neighboorhood has no sidewalks and no open areas really anywhere close to take a dog to. Overweight, especially for her age, Mazzie required much more daily output then she was getting and she was badly in need of socialization and play with other dogs.
