Never forget. 🇺🇸
Today we remember the lives that were lost, the families whose worlds changed forever, and the incredible bravery shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, service members, ordinary people who became heroes in extraordinary circumstances - and the four-legged heroes who served right beside them.
Hundreds of search, rescue, therapy, and working dogs answered the call in the days and months following September 11th. They searched through rubble, helped locate survivors and victims, worked alongside exhausted rescue crews, and provided comfort when it was desperately needed.
They didn’t understand the magnitude of what had happened. They didn’t know why the world had suddenly changed. They simply knew they had a job to do, and they trusted the humans beside them enough to do it.
Heroism isn’t defined by whether you walk on two legs or four. ❤️
Today, we honor ALL of them - every life lost, every person who ran toward danger, every hand that helped, and every paw that searched beside them.
May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, loyalty, and unity shown on that day and in the days that followed.
September 11, 2001. Never forgotten. 🇺🇸🐾
