It’s Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week at Summit! 💜 From comforting nervous patients and keeping treatment areas running smoothly to supporting our doctors, caring for hospitalized pets, and jumping in wherever they’re needed - our assistants do a little bit of everything!
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on them! Each day, we’ll be introducing you to two of the wonderful Veterinary Assistants who help care for your pets and make Summit feel like Summit. Meet Anne & Anthony, two of our fabulous Veterinary Assistants!
Anne grew up in the northern Virginia area and has always had a love for all animals. Her love for animals grew into a passion for animal care after her first cat passed away unexpectedly and left her wondering if there was anything else she could have done. She became a veterinary assistant in 2008 and now can’t see herself doing anything else. She has worked in clinics both full time and as a relief assistant as well as being on the road doing house calls. Anne is passionate about furthering her knowledge in continuing to learn as much as she can with the hopes of one day becoming a licensed technician.
Anthony is a warm-hearted veterinary assistant with an infectious smile and a passion for helping animals. For over five years, he’s been caring for pets in both shelters and clinics, bringing comfort to those in need. If you meet Anthony, you’ll quickly discover his boundless enthusiasm and his knack for brightening everyone’s day. Whether it’s a challenging task or a quick question, he’s always ready to help, and don’t be surprised if he throws in a joke to lighten the mood.
We’re so lucky to have this team. Thank you for everything you do, Anne & Anthony! 🐾
