“Hello! May I help you?”
“Can I speak to the taxidermist?”
“Yes, this is she! How can I help you?”
… CRICKETS. 🦗🦗🦗
“Can I help you? I’m the taxidermist.”
Y’all, I get a kick out of the calls where someone asks to speak to the taxidermist about prices/etc, only to realize the person on the other end of the phone is a WOMAN. You can almost hear the wheels turning & the surprise settling in. 🤣
It’s okay, folks. I promise I won’t be offended. God knew exactly what He was doing when He created me. He gave me the boldness to stand in a profession not everyone expects a woman to be in, the strength to handle the judgment & enough humor to smile when someone thinks I ought to act a little more “ladylike.”
Oh, judgmental people … TRUST ME, I can be a lady when I need to be! 😉 But what I love even more is being comfortable enough in my own skin to be who I am, even when it doesn’t fit someone else’s idea of who I should be.
I’m a woman who loves Jesus 🙌🏼, loves her family, the outdoors, hunting & preserving the memories people bring through the doors of my shop.
🖤I don’t have to fit into someone else’s box to do what God has called me to do. If Jesus wanted us all to look alike, act alike AND walk the same path, He wouldn’t have created each of us uniquely!
He made YOU.
He made ME.
He made US w/ different gifts, different callings & different purposes.
So, sweet people, if God is calling you to do something that doesn’t fit someone else’s expectations, quit worrying about whether you fit their mold.
You weren’t created to meet their expectations.
You were created to walk in HIS callin🩷!!!
And me? Well, I’ll be right here… answering the phone, mounting your trophy, loving what I do & probably making somebody question whether they dialed the right number. 😉PrimeTime Taxidermy
