Barbie stands to be tied, tacks up good, does all the groundwork, loads and unloads great, very laid back, not really scared of anything, more on the lazy side, ok with dogs and traffic, very sweet towards people, I couldn’t tell you how she is with horses as I have not had her with any. Just had feet done on 5/29. Been doing a lot of desensitization and ground work, working on getting muscle and some weight added. She had just been used as a broodmare when I got her. I have sat up in the saddle twice now and she has not done any wrong either times. She will stop, back, turn, but will need work on forward motion. I’m not listing her as broke, but I believe she will be easy to finish out. Has never done anything wrong/dangerous with me. I think she would be suitable for leading kids around on as of now and would probably make a great kids horse with further training. 2K OBO

Been busy here at double h farms, between getting my filly started under saddle, getting my mare who had a foal in January back into shape and keeping all the other horses in shape and rode! My c**t started learning to be tied and learning what a bath is.

7-year-old grade palomino mare standing 14.3 HH. Montana has a fun, playful personality and enjoys attention.

Over the past week and a half, she has been brought back into work with a focus on groundwork and light riding. Prior to this, she had approximately 8 months off in the pasture, so she will benefit from continued conditioning and a consistent tune-up program.

Montana has previous experience as a trail horse and has been lightly introduced to mounted shooting and the barrel pattern, giving her the potential to go in a variety of directions.

Running 2/3D without being pushed and is loping through poles with limited amount of time on them. He’s ready to add more speed and he wants to. He will go at whatever pace you ask of him. For the most part he will always walk in and out flat footed, ONCE he has popped up just slightly while going into the arena, he was ready to go but the rider was not (I have a video of this one occurrence.) If you’re just wanting to walk/trot/ lope I believe he would be fine for a beginner, but if you’re going to be trail riding or running barrels competitively I don’t recommend him for a beginner, he is powerful leaving a barrel and can be prancy on a trail. I was fairly new to barrel racing when I got him and we have done fine together for going on two years. He has a lot more potential than I could ever give him. He’s the type that can sit for a month or two and ride off just fine. With a cue he will step over to a mounting block for easier mounting. He has been breezed out in fields and he can FLY. Loads, stands tied, stands for farrier, easy to catch as he will come up to you out in the pasture, rides off alone, traffic safe, trail rides (but can be prancy), handles new scenes very well, middle of the pecking order, great manners. Selling him as I am getting out of barrel racing and he deserves to be used more than I have been able to.
