Genetics and training play a huge role in a dog’s success, but nutrition matters too.

The right food can support energy, recovery, digestion, coat quality, and overall health. That’s why I’ve spent time finding what works best for Gronk and his individual needs.

In dog training:

➕ Positive = adding something
➖ Negative = removing something

The four quadrants of learning are simply ways dogs (and people) learn through consequences.

Whether it’s earning a paycheck, losing phone privileges, putting on a seatbelt to stop the warning chime, or touching a hot stove, we all learn through the same principles every day.

Understanding the four quadrants doesn’t mean you have to use every tool or technique. It means understanding how behavior is created, maintained, and changed.

The more we understand how dogs learn, the better trainers and owners we become.

Cookout season is here 🇺🇸
But some BBQ foods can quickly turn into an emergency vet visit.

Corn cobs, cooked bones, grapes, onions, alcohol, and fatty meats can all be dangerous for dogs.

This is one of the reasons we teach a strong PLACE command at Route 20 Dog Training.

A dog that can stay calm around food, guests, distractions, and open doors is safer in real life — not just in training.
