This year we decided to combine our passions in our booth.

There may no longer be a Greyhound Meet & Greet booth at the Colorado Renaissance Festival; but we can still bring a little of their magic and majesty back.

We have LIMITED available slots during June & July because of the Renaissance Festival.

Whenever one of our blood donor hounds passes away;
CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital sends us a list of some of the pups who received blood.

It fills us with such bittersweet joy knowing that there’s still a little bit of our Bridge Angels out in the world.

And…in the briefest of moments…he was gone.

Only a matter of heartbeats before he crossed.

Even fewer breaths before he took his last.

When I left the house this morning to take him to the vet, I didn’t know we’d be coming home with an empty collar.
Fluid surrounding his heart. A mass on it.
I barely heard the vet’s voice as she explained.

Lucien was our greatest Christmas gift.
A perfect addition to a long line of big, goofy, red fawn boys.
He spent more time upside down than right side up.

100 years would never be enough.
One more minute of pain would be too much.
