Hi, I’m Kylee! 👋 If you’re new around here, welcome! This month marks 7 years in business, and I thought it was the perfect time to introduce myself and share a little about the person behind Kylee the K9 & Kitty Companion!
I provide dog walking and pet sitting services in Brighton and the surrounding areas. And when I say it’s just me—I mean it! From answering emails and scheduling meet & greets to walking your dogs, caring for your cats, and staying overnight with your pets, I personally handle every part of my business. The same person you meet at your meet & greet is the same person who will show up to care for your pets every time. No unfamiliar employees or surprise visits—just me.
I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 30 years, and I have experience with many different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m also experienced in reading canine body language and understanding the individual needs of the pets in my care.
A little bit about me:
🐾 I was a volunteer puppy raiser and trainer for Paws With A Cause, a nonprofit organization that custom-trains service dogs for people living with disabilities.
🐾 I’m first aid & CPR certified and insured, because your pets’ safety and your peace of mind are incredibly important to me.
🐾 I spent 17 years working in the medical field before becoming a pet care professional.
🐾 I’m a quiet, introverted person, so animals have always been my favorite kind of company!
🐾 I have 2 dogs (in picture below) and 1 cat of my own.
🐾 When I’m not caring for other people’s pets, I love spending time outdoors with my family—camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and enjoying time at the beach.
Over the years, I’ve learned that pet care is about so much more than simply feeding a pet or taking them for a walk. It’s about getting to know their personalities, learning their routines, noticing when something isn’t quite right, and giving them the same patience, attention, and love they would receive from their own family.
My goal is to provide dependable, loving, personalized care while giving pet parents peace of mind when they’re away. Whether your pet needs a neighborhood walk, a drop-in visit, vacation care, or some extra love and attention while you’re gone, I want you to feel confident knowing they’re in good hands.
I’m incredibly grateful that I get to spend my days doing something I truly love, and I look forward to getting to know more of you and your furry family members!
