Meet Kali! 🐾

Kali is a young Chocolate Lab with plenty of puppy energy and a little bit of a shy side!

She’s growing up in a busy household with two young kids, and her family wants to make sure she grows into a well-mannered dog who fits comfortably into their everyday life.

Right now, Kali struggles with jumping, respecting personal space, and knowing what to do with all that puppy energy. She’s also pretty timid around unfamiliar people and in new environments, so building her confidence is going to be an important part of her training.

We’re working on leash manners, obedience, impulse control, and helping Kali learn how to settle down even when there’s a lot going on around her.

With young kids in the house, having a dog who can be calm, respectful, and responsive makes a HUGE difference!

The goal is to help Kali become a confident, reliable family dog who can be included in more of the fun without adding to the chaos.

The holidays are coming, and if you’re already thinking about how your dog is going to behave with a house full of guests, this one’s for you!

I’m offering something new this year! Holiday House Manners is a 5-day stay and train program focused on a few specific skills that can make a BIG difference when you’re hosting family and friends.

We’ll be working on things like:

🎄 Teaching your dog to relax in their own spot instead of being underfoot while you’re cooking, eating, or entertaining.

🎄 Greeting guests without jumping all over them.

🎄 Waiting politely at doorways instead of rushing through them every time the door opens.

This isn’t a full obedience program, and that’s the point! We’re focusing on a handful of practical skills that can make life at home a whole lot easier.

Your dog will spend five days training with me in my home, and we’ll wrap up with a go-home lesson so you know how to keep the training going.

I’m opening a limited number of spots before the holidays!

If you’ve been wanting to work on your dog’s house manners but haven’t been ready to commit to a longer training program, this could be a great fit!

Meet JuJu! 🐾

JuJu is a 4-year-old Labradoodle with a BIG personality and a whole lot of enthusiasm!

Unfortunately, all that excitement has made walks pretty challenging for his mom. When JuJu sees other dogs or people, he gets so worked up that he barks, lunges, and pulls on the leash. He’s a big, strong guy, and his pulling has actually caused his mom to get hurt.

That’s where I come in!

Over the next three weeks, we’ll be working on leash manners, managing his excitement around distractions, building a reliable recall, and learning how to settle down both at home and out in public.

The goal isn’t to change JuJu’s personality. It’s to give him some much-needed impulse control and help his mom feel confident handling him again.

Sandy’s family is putting in the daily work, and it’s paying off! Training doesn’t end when a dog goes home. The real magic happens when owners stay consistent and turn those new skills into everyday habits. So proud of Sandy and her family! 🐾❤️

Meet Arnie! He’s a one year old Australian Goldendoodle and, as you can see, VERY cute.

Arnie’s family says he has a lot to say. He barks at things outside, noises around the house, the wind… pretty much anything he decides might be worth announcing. 😂

During his stay, we’ll be working on:

- Decreasing excessive barking
- Reducing reactivity
- Building confidence
- Learning how to settle and be calmer around the house
- Better listening skills
- A more reliable recall

These are all really great, practical goals that should make everyday life with Arnie a whole lot easier.

I’m excited to get to work with this cute boy and show you guys his progress! 🐾

You might remember Shiner from Puppy Camp… although he’s looking a little less puppy these days.

Shiner is back with us for Board & Train, and from what I can tell, he’s grown into an overall sweet, friendly boy who has also officially entered his “I heard you, I just don’t really care” era. 😂

His family has been working hard with him, but adolescence has brought along a few new challenges. He knows quite a bit, but actually listening when he’d rather do something else? That’s another story.

A few of the big things we’ll be working on:
🐾 Better listening skills
🐾 More general calmness around the house
🐾 Settling instead of whining, wandering, begging, or getting into everything
🐾 A much more reliable recall, especially since he’s discovered that getting loose and going on his own adventures is apparently very exciting

Even during our first few minutes together, I got to see some of that busy adolescent brain at work. Why stand calmly when there are rocks to pick up, mulch to investigate, and a leash to chew on?

I’m excited to have this fun little guy back and help him bridge that gap between knowing what’s being asked and actually following through when real life is happening around him.

Your dog shouldn’t need to hear “stay” 15 times to actually stay. 👀

If you want your dog’s training to work in real life, practice it like real life.

Say “stay” once. Then move around. Talk to someone. Bend down to pick something up. Turn your back. Do the things you’ll actually be doing when you need your dog to hold that stay.

Because the goal isn’t:

“Stay… stay… stay… hi neighbor… stay… how are you… stay…” 😂

The goal is for your dog to understand: stay here until I tell you otherwise.

Stop spoon-feeding the command and start giving your dog the opportunity to actually understand it.

Meet Knox! 🐾

Knox is a sweet Golden Retriever puppy here to get a head start on becoming the best family dog he can be!

Like most puppies, he’s curious, playful, and still figuring out what’s expected of him. While he’s here, we’ll be working on building good habits early with things like kennel training, leash manners, engagement, household boundaries, and the foundations for future obedience.

At this age, it’s less about expecting perfection and more about giving him a solid foundation to grow from. I’m excited to have this little guy here!

Welcome back, Aspen! 🐾

After completing our puppy program, Aspen is back for some “big girl” training!

We’ll build on everything she learned while working on her habit of putting everything in her mouth, strengthening her “drop it,” and teaching this very enthusiastic greeter some polite manners when meeting people.

We’re so excited to have this sweet, zealous girl back! 💕

Meet Onyx!

Onyx is 1.5 yrs old. In true German Shepherd fashion, he's sweet and loves to work but struggles to know when it's time to relax.

Everything is exciting. His brain is always going. Pacing, whining, and struggling to settle. It's hard for him to truly relax, even when it's time to rest.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be helping Onyx develop an "off switch." We'll be focusing on calm, learning to settle, and building the self-control that a high-drive dog like himself needs.

The goal isn't to take away his personality or his drive. It's to teach him when it's time to work... and when it's okay to simply relax.

Can't wait to show you his progress!
