There will be a Celebration of the Life of Jean Lindgren on Thursday, August 6 at Long Beach in Sag Harbor from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM. Closer to the day, we will post additional details. Jean’s family hope you can attend, and for the many who live far from the East End, you will be missed but we are thankful that you will be thinking of her.

Jean cared deeply about hunger, the environment, the status of immigrants in our society, and children.

Charities that she beloved the most to fall into those categories and these are a few top ones in alphabetical order, but she would be pleased at anyone’s choice of a memorial gift.

“Live for the moment”. That was the personal motto for Jean Lindgren, Executive Director of the Hampton Classic alongside her husband Tony Hitchcock for 30 years and then a devoted worker and the face of Will Call for many more. And how many moments there were. We are heartbroken at her passing. We will consistently remember her smile, warming presence, brilliant wit, love for the horse show, and most importantly devotion to her family and friends. We will miss you Jean. We wouldn’t be here without you. 💙🐴🩵

We love watching our East Ender friends thriving at shows all around the world! These past weekends we cheered on so many friends and Hampton Classic family at the Old Salem Farm spring series. Congratulations to all and we can’t wait to be reunited again in August!
