Some dogs just seem to forget to read the part of the rulebook that says they’re supposed to slow down with age. 😂

Meet Scruffy, 16 years young and still FULL of s***k, personality, and energy! 🐾❤️

When it’s time for a walk, you’d think we were taking Scruffy out for a leisurely stroll.

Nope. Not Scruffy.

At 16, he has places to go, things to sniff, and a very important agenda to follow! 😂

Instead of us taking Scruffy for a walk… Scruffy takes US for a walk! 🐕

Watching him confidently trot along, ears up and tail going, is one of those moments that reminds us why we absolutely love what we do at Doggie Zen Den.

Every dog is different. Some are young and full of zoomies, some prefer a leisurely sniff and stroll, and some like Scruffy are 16 years old and apparently have places to be! 😆

We believe every dog deserves to be cared for according to their personality, pace, and needs. Whether they’re here for a visit, a walk, or a longer stay, we want them to feel comfortable, loved, and right at home.

Happy 1st Anniversary to this beautiful couple. ❤️🐾

One year ago, their two very special dogs were part of their wedding day, and it was such a beautiful reminder of how deeply our dogs are woven into our lives.

Dogs have always held such a soft spot in my heart. Their love is pure, loyal, and unconditional. They somehow know when we need comfort, companionship, or simply a quiet presence beside us.

Because of the love and passion I have for dogs, I love to watch movies. I have dogs in it. I just watched this movie, The Art of Racing in the Rain. It beautifully captures the deep and unforgettable bond between humans and dogs. I saw so much of my own heart reflected throughout the entire story. It is the same love I feel for every one of our clients’ dogs especially the senior dogs. To us, they are never “just a dog.” They become part of our hearts and part of our family. I personally feel them, their love and their pain.

If you love movies that celebrate the beautiful relationship between people and their dogs, I wholeheartedly recommend this one. It is truly amazing, but have the tissues ready. It’s a tear jerker. ❤️🐾

🎒📚 Apparently Piper went back to school! 🐶😂

I just found out that several of Piper’s pictures were used in a Back-to-School training presentation and they were a HIT! 😂👏

Forget boring PowerPoint slides… just put Piper on the screen and suddenly everyone has something to talk about!

Apparently, Piper is now a professional conversation starter. 😂

At this rate, he’s going to need a backpack, a staff ID, and his own faculty parking spot! 🐾🎒

🐾 Piper Has a Plan… 😂

Piper greeted me from the top of the stairs this morning like he was waiting for me to arrive. As soon as I came in, he headed downstairs and straight out into the yard.

First order of business? Take care of business. 💩😂

Once that was handled, Piper did a complete inspection of the property, walking around the yard to make sure everything was “oke dokey.” Apparently, he takes his security responsibilities very seriously. 🧐🐶

Once the inspection was complete, we headed back into the kitchen for his Cheerio snack.

And then… Piper did a somersault! 🤣

Of course, I didn’t catch it on video. Oops! Because apparently, the best moments happen when the camera isn’t ready.

He enjoyed his Cheerios—and I think he may have enjoyed more than his share. 😂

Then he laid down in the kitchen.

Now, I wasn’t exactly sure if he was supposed to finish the entire cup, so I think Piper decided the safest strategy was to simply stay nearby… just in case that cup happened to “fall” off the table. 😏

You have to admire the man’s optimism.

Eventually, Piper headed back upstairs as I was leaving, settling back into his day.

I realized after sharing my last post that I left out a few more very special sibling pups we have had the pleasure of caring for. ❤️🐾

I could not possibly leave these sweet faces out!

There is something so special about welcoming two dogs from the same family into our home. 🐶🐶 We get to watch them play together, curl up beside each other, share their routines, and enjoy the comfort of having their best buddy right there with them.

Every pair has its own little relationship and personality. Some are cuddle buddies, some are partners in crime, and some are typical siblings who somehow want the exact same toy at the exact same time. 😂❤️

These are the moments that make Mike and me smile and remind us how much we truly love what we do.

Thank you to every family who trusts us with their precious pups. Having two dogs with us really does mean double the paws, double the personalities, and double the joy in our home. 🐾❤️🐾

There is something extra special about welcoming sibling dogs into our home. 🐾🐾❤️

Over time, we have had the pleasure of caring for several sets of siblings, and we absolutely love watching the special relationships they share.

We get to see them play together, eat together, curl up beside each other, and sometimes get on each other’s nerves just like any other siblings do. 😂

Most of all, we see the comfort they find in having each other nearby while their family is away.

Mike and I truly appreciate being trusted with these precious members of your family. Watching them settle into our home, relax, and enjoy their time together brings so much joy to our hearts.

Two dogs may mean twice the paws, twice the personalities, and twice the activity, but they also bring twice the love. ❤️🐾🐾

Your dogs are family, and while they are with us, we want them to feel loved, safe, and at home.

Piper was up and downstairs right away this morning, got outside, and took care of all his business without wasting any time. (That White Castle came in handy! 😂🍔)

Afterward, he had to do a complete survey of the property before coming back inside for his favorite snack and some water.

Then we sat on the floor for a while, enjoying some pets, cuddles, and what I’m pretty sure was a very important conversation. ❤️🐶

But apparently, the conversation wasn’t nearly as important as the refrigerator.

Piper decided that sleeping directly in front of it was the perfect place to be—just in case the door happened to open and something should mysteriously “fall out.” 😂

You have to admire his planning and preparedness!

When it was time for me to leave, Piper made his way back to his room to settle in and wait out the day.

Just another morning with Piper… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

There are some dogs who simply find a special place in your heart, and Toby is one of them. Our bond has always been so special. Sometimes you love them so much, you just have to call their mom and ask, “Can I come visit Toby?” 🥰🐶

Dogs know who truly loves them, and this sweet boy certainly knows how much I love him. ❤️

Love is a connection that needs no words. 🐾✨
