Sweet little Chilli is looking for a new home! He is a PROJECT. Now that he is healthy and all his medical needs have been met he is looking for a home to help him continue on the journey of learning that not all people are evil.

We rescued this boy in January when picking up our mule Ethel and decided to give him a shot but he’s definitely more project than our program has time for. Chilli had 3 shoes on when he came to us with all his hooves extremely overgrown. He’s now been trimmed 3x (next trim was supposed to be 5/7 but our farrier had to cancel and reschedule due to a medical emergency). Chilli is UTD on shots & Coggins as of 4/1. His teeth were floated in March.

Chilli is a sweet guy but has definitely been mistreated. He is hard to catch in a large pasture but definitely loves his food. Chilli doesn’t pick up his hooves well but is improving each and every time he’s worked with. He was sedated for the first 2 trims, and not sedated for the last but I have a patient saint of a farrier. Sweet boy needs someone who can sink in the consistency to help him realize people are not going to smack him around. He is a blank slate as far as we currently know although we have put a saddle on him and lead him around with it. He was wiggle saddling but more concerned about us being all over him than he actually cared about the saddle itself - video in the comments.

Chilli is priced in the lowest of 4’s ($x,###). Negotiable to a GOOD home who can provide vet and farrier references.

Today was another very difficult day for our barn family.

We had to say goodbye to Daisy, another one of our beloved horses due to once again we do not know exactly what. Daisy was found down this morning with signs of colic along with swelling and trauma to the top of her neck right on her spinal cord. Although we managed to get her up and the awesome Dr Gabby from Appalachian Equine got her fairly stable, sadly it did not last long. Daisy went back down and declined quickly causing us to make the call that we never want to make.

Daisy was more than just a part of our lesson program. She was a teacher, a partner, and a friend. Her perfect mix of patience and s***k made her a phenomenal step up horse for our confident riders.

Thank you to everyone who loved her as much as we did. We will miss Daisy greatly and we know many of our clients will as well. Run free sweet girl 🌈 💔

Today the unexpected happened and we lost our Jazzy girl. We are not certain exactly why but she was down this morning and unable to get back up.

We rescued Jazz a little over a year ago underweight, severely overgrown hooves, pregnant, and a bad hip. She blossomed into a beautiful mare with some weight and lots of love. She sadly lost her foal but continued everyday to be the sweetest puppy dog of a horse we had ever met.

Gallop across that rainbow bridge sweet girl and we will miss you dearly🌈

Ethel wants to help us let everyone know that we have lesson openings!!! It’s been a while since we’ve had openings and these definitely won’t last long so don’t hesitate to snag a slot! Current openings are on Saturdays & Mondays.

We teach all ages from our tiniest of tots to our wonderful adults. Both English and Western lessons available as well as both private and group lessons. We strive to make lessons fun and to customize all lessons to each individual students needs!

WFE currently has 3 horses available for an on-site lease. The perfect opportunity to get some extra ride time in on a budget!

These leases at this time are only available as on-site half leases. We have 1 full sized grass arena, 1 60ft grass round pen, and 1 small training round pen. We try to haul to trails the 3rd Thursday of each month and we do allow of leases to haul off-site and have a trailer available for day rentals AFTER being approved to haul. Leases are also welcome to show either solo or with our fall show team. Leases always have first dibs for their horse on any “extra” events we may attend. Shows, trails, clinics, etc. Shoot us a message if you’d like to come out and meet one of our awesome horses!

Any little tough kiddos looking for a naughty challenging pony?? Lacy is the one!

Lacy is available for an on-site half lease only (2-3 days a week).
We are open to allowing leasee to haul occasionally off our property with pre-approval.

•Will do arena work for days or hit the trails, she’s been off property on trails multiple times with us.
•Will ride beginners BUT we would love to find an intermediate small teen who would like to keep her legged up. Taylor currently only has beginner w/t riders in her lessons but she’s got a bit of s***k and would benefit from the occasional canter work.

Taylor is currently available for an on-site half lease (2 days a week)
We are open to allowing leasee to haul occasionally off our property with pre-approval.

•Beginner safe but can be slightly pushy on the ground if she believes she can get away with it. Pearl’s version of sass is to drag you to the mounting block or the gate, hope you get off, then waddle on sadly when it doesn’t work. If you can handle that you can handle her!

Pearl is currently available for an on-site half lease (2 days a week)
We are open to allowing leasee to haul occasionally off our property with pre-approval.

Day camps are a phenomenal way to introduce kiddos to horses or for some fun filled horsey days for those students already in lessons! We strive to provide a fun and safe environment for beginner children to learn everything from basic horse care to basic riding skills. For those wonderful kiddos already in lessons they get a more in-depth horse experience to challenge their current horse knowledge. What kid wouldn’t love a day full of horses and fun?!

Our Thursday trail ride for March is scheduled!

Meeting at WFE farm at 10am if you’re leasing a horse from us or if we are hauling your personal horse. If you have your own horse and are joining us there - we aim to be at the trail at 11am.

$45/trailering fee
$65/day lease fee

What does that mean??? If we haul your personal horse from WFE or a horse you already lease from us you owe the trailering fee. If you need an awesome mount for the day that’s where the day lease comes into play! If you’re meeting us there with your personal horse then obviously you owe nothing😉

***Leasing a horse for the day to trail ride with is only available to WFE’s current clients. This trail ride is open to our younger confident beginner students if approved by WFE.
