Foxxy is here with us for 2 weeks for some puppy training! She’s a super sweet girl who needs some big help in socialization with people and other dogs as well as leash manners and basic training! ✨

Hello everyone!

I haven’t posted on here in some time but I just wanted to update everyone! I have started working for a new business. I now currently work under Hicaliber K9 Training LLC in Oakley, CA 🥰 any returning or new clients can book sessions through our website where you can schedule a consult/session. If you would like, you can specifically request me or you can work with my business partner, Sabrina who is also an incredible trainer. With working under this business, we do offer board and trains which I was unable to offer in the past! If anyone has any questions, please feel free to reach out ❤️

This isn’t the end of Marvel Obedience as the goal is still to have my own business but I was presented with this awesome opportunity and I’m excited for all the doors it will open for the future!

I am excited to announce a new service I will be offering.

Train, No Boarding.

This service is for those looking to have problems or things taught to your dogs like pulling on leash, basic obedience, recall, threshold manners, etc. For two weeks, I will come by and pick up your dog 5 times a week for an hour long session where I will work with you pet, I will video and document the work done. At the end of the second week, owners have two sessions where I will show you and work with you and your pet so you can keep up and maintain the training dog yourself!

Price for this service is $1200. This is a great service is you are busy and don’t have the time to work with your pup, going out of town and want work done while your away, etc.

Client puppy Pennie! Did a session with Pennie and her owners to just go over puppy raising and help trouble shooting with potty training, tooth hugs and just listening over all. Gave them some advice and hope to see Pennie in a few months and we can get some more advanced training in ❤️

Don’t get me wrong, there are times when dog training is boring or not fun. Teaching a dog a long down, is not fun 😂

But you can make other parts of dog training fun for you and your dog! Teaching something like place can be fun! Here I am working with Fury on place and positional commands! He’s not a dog I will probably regularly use the place command with but I do want him to know it.

Challenge your dog! Teach them new commands. Make it fun! If you aren’t having fun training your dog, your a lot less likely to do it.

I cannot preach this enough.

CRATE. TRAIN. YOUR. DOGS.

Crate training can literally keep your dog alive. Not only are there a million different reasons (not literally but you get it) why it’s beneficial but it can keep your dog from making an expensive and even worse, fatal mistake.

Dogs are opportunistic animals. I’m not saying that your dog who has free roamed for the past 5 years and has never chewed or eaten anything needs to be in a crate. But so many people make the choice to “see how their dog will do” or do the “hope I come home to an intact house” all because you think your dog needs to have free access to parts of your home? or puppy owners who let their puppies sleep in bed with them and wake up in the middle of the night to them on the floor and little did you know, while you were sleeping, your puppy chewed up and swallowed a toy, sock, blanket, etc.

To which you will then either find out when your puppy can’t keep anything down or p**p because that matieral have now become a foreign object blockage and now needs emergency surgery. Which could run you anywhere between $5k-$10k. And this is also hoping there are no complications and you dog makes it through. And even if you have pet insurance, why would you risk it?

Trust me, when the day comes, you will have wished you had crated your dog. Believe me, I have trusted dogs and ended up getting burned and THANK GOD those dogs lived and I refuse to make that mistake again. Would I love to be able to leave my dogs to lounge and free roam the house? ABSOLUTELY! But I know my dog and although most of the time he makes the right choices, I know every now and then he doesn’t and I care for my dog and his safety.

You and your dog are not a failure if they cannot be left free. You are a good pet owner and doing the right thing by crating your dog to ensure their safety. Anyone who tells your otherwise, ignore them.

I find it more selfish to put your dog at risk than how “cruel” it’s is to keep your dog in a crate.

Client pup - Yogi!

Yogi is a big sweet, goofy 1 year old boy. Yogi can be a naughty boy who has a hard time listening when he has an energy spurt and can be a little tornado. I have been working with Yogi and his owners here and there for some months now working on thinks like engagement, basic obedience, leash handling, etc as well as he has been introduced to the prong collar and e-collar. Today we worked on “place” to help promote structure, settle when inside, impulse control, etc. “Place” is a positive space and it was great to see Yogi get comfortable and settle on the bed on his own. Growing boy was sleeping on the bed by the end of the session! This is a testament that training your dog can not only physically exercise your dog but absolutely mentally! We did our session inside today out of the rain working on place and the most exercise Yogi got was getting up and down, on and off the bed. The mental aspect of the training is what tired him.
