Tina came home!!! We are so grateful to have had such an incredible community response. It was unbelievable !!! The search and rescue dog, Bond, and his owner Michelle Barker of Griffin, drove out to come to the rescue. Their website is โ€œhelping lost pets get homeโ€. Bond is an extremely intuitive and talented Malinois. Lovy Meyers is a rescue specialist that connected us with them and gave us so much incredible insight and hope.

The PTC/Fayetteville community efforts were heartwarming and incredible! Maureen Blair, Jeanie Mahonie, Cynthia Saracino, Elaina Dehaai, Sharon McGrail Gretner, (and so many more beautiful people), were the most thoughtful, resourceful and compassionate people. I am now inspired to be more selfless and to pay it forward in every opportunity.

Welcome back Jack!! Jack went missing from his new Owners at a horse barn visit Sunday afternoon in Heard County, GA. The Owners reached out to me for help Monday night and I coached them Tuesday and went out with Michelle Barker and her tracking dog "Bond" yesterday. Jack had been chased by a well-meaning neighbor Tuesday on a Gator and we needed to know his area of travel and that he was still in the area. Bond showed us that Jack was indeed circling not only his water supply but several open fields nearby surrounded by woods but not going back to the Horse barn or horse pastures. I had predicted that the horses would be a barrier to Jack returning to the barn - as he had not been around horses. We set up a Comfort station, unset trap with food and his bedding monitored by Motion Activated trail Cameras. These were placed in a wooded enclave with a creek by the pond where he had been seen. Owner's laid food trails leading to the trap area from all directions. We planned to set the trap tonight if Jack visited but could not be lured. Jack came to visit the water and comfort station this morning and was lured to safety by his Owner who was there to lure if possible and check the night's activity on Camera. By using his squeaky toy and familiar Play talk(as opposed to calling his name) and letting Jack chase him instead of chasing the dog, he was able to recover Jack safely! Happy tails!

This was written by a friend about my dog and what proper training can accomplish. I just had to share!

Some of you might know me from being Bond's protection trainer and he's great at it. Actually he's great at everything he does, he impressed me every time we're together but more so a couple of weeks ago when we lost our little sh*tzu ( Fifi) I live in the country and my kids let our dogs out like they usually do and for some unknown reason she ran into the woods and disappeared. Needless to say my family was devastated and try everything to try to find her, to make it worst we were leaving that weekend out of town so you can imagine how that trip went. Anyway I mentioned to Michelle Barker and she offered to bring Bond over and search for her later that week (4 days) as soon as he picked up her sent from her collar he was off almost dragging Michelle and he followed her track exactly where my kids saw her go, he cross over a busy hyw and found her track on the other side, vehicles were passing by but nothing distracted Bond from searching until he got to the end of the track and lost the sent. I figured someone pick her up by the hyw. To make a long story short. My neighbor spotted her in his property (100 acres) later that day, almost at the same spot were Bond lost the track. I couldn't believe it after several days with a weak scent he was right on it. Very few dogs have impressed me when it comes to tracking, I've trained narcotics, IPO, hunting and area search for police work and Bond is up there with the best of them. This story have a happy ending, Fifi is back with us after a couple of weeks lost in the woods but just wanted to let you know what a great dog you bred, to me he's a complete dog, it doesn't matter what we ask of him, he will try to figure out and perform. He had a rocky start in his previous home but couldn't be in better hands now. A special thank you goes to my girl Michelle, she unselfishly volunteer to help us and words are not enough to let her know how much my family and I love her. She's special to us and I forever be in her dept. I don't want to bored you anymore with my story but thank you for breeding such a special dog. He would always have a special place in my heart.

TESTIMONIAL:

From Lovy about Bond:
I am a Lost Pet Recovery Specialist trained at the Missing Pet Partnership and certified as a Pet Detective from the Coursework I completed and my years of experience. I have found or coached over 100 cats home and 35 dogs. In the last year I have Used Michelle and Bond on 10 cases that benefited from tracking and have a Track set up for Saturday on a lost dog that has no sightings. Bond is an amazingly well rounded dog. We recently traveled to Nashville for a search and he was a great traveler- never barking and being a complete gentlemen both riding and staying in his crate at the hotel. He is amazing in that he can go from that scenarios into being excited to work - barely containing himself till he is released and never showing any fatigue or desire to quit. He never lets anything distract him from the track- traffic, other dogs or cats, food - nothing distracats him. He is relentless. But when the track is finished- he turns that off and travels extremely well. I would love to own Bond!. I can email you the list and description of the 10 tracks that we have done if you are interested.
