Good training is about more than just teaching a dog to follow commands! 🐾

It’s about building communication, trust, and helping dogs make good choices in everyday situations.

Sometimes, even a simple interaction is an opportunity to practice important life skills like focus, engagement, impulse control, and responding to cues.

At Buddy Sweets, we believe in using positive reinforcement to make learning enjoyable, rewarding, and effective for both dogs and their humans!

🐾🎉 OUR FIRST PET CPR & FIRST AID CLASS WAS A SUCCESS! ❤️

Today was an exciting milestone for Buddy Sweets and our Imperial Valley community!

We officially hosted our very first Pet Tech® Pet CPR & First Aid Certification class right here in Brawley!

Our students spent the day learning and practicing potentially lifesaving skills, including pet CPR, rescue breathing, choking response, emergency assessments, and essential first aid techniques.

And as you can see from the photos, this wasn’t just a lecture! Everyone had the opportunity to get hands-on experience practicing their new skills. 🐶

A HUGE thank you to our very first group of students for showing up, asking questions, participating, and investing their time in becoming better prepared to help animals in an emergency.

A special thank you to everyone who has supported our mission of bringing accessible pet emergency education to Imperial County. With limited access to veterinary care in our region, knowing how to respond during those first critical minutes can make a meaningful difference.

And we’re just getting started!

🐾 FOUR NEW RAW BAR FAVORITES ARE COMING TO BUDDY SWEETS! 🐾

We’re expanding our Vital Essentials RAW BAR lineup with four brand-new freeze-dried raw chews, and you’ll be able to grab them for the first time at Fiesta de los Mu***os on October 17, part of the Imperial Signature Event Series!

These are four of Vital Essentials’ newest additions to its RAW BAR collection, featuring simple, single-ingredient animal proteins with no unnecessary extras.

🥩 NEW! Beef Tendon
A firmer, longer-lasting chew made from 100% beef tendon. Beef tendon naturally contains glucosamine, chondroitin and collagen, making this one an especially interesting option for dogs who love to settle in with a good chew. Vital Essentials recommends it particularly for medium and large dogs.

🦃 NEW! Turkey Hearts
A lighter chew made from 100% turkey heart and naturally rich in taurine and protein. They’re larger than typical chicken or duck hearts, making them great for medium and larger dogs, but they can also be cut into smaller portions.

🐟 NEW! Silver Carp Filet
This one might be our favorite new addition because there’s a cool conservation story behind it! Silver carp are an invasive species in U.S. waterways, and Vital Essentials turns wild-caught silver carp into single-ingredient freeze-dried treats. The filets provide lean protein while their harvest helps reduce pressure on native aquatic ecosystems. They can also be cut into smaller portions for little dogs.

🐔 NEW! Chicken Necks
A light, crunchy chew for dogs AND cats! These single-ingredient freeze-dried chicken necks are easy to chew and provide natural abrasion while chewing. They’re also a source of Omega-6 fatty acids and trace minerals, and you can snap them into smaller portions for smaller pets.

All four are freeze-dried, grain & gluten free, whole-animal protein treats and are proudly crafted in the USA.

📍 BE THE FIRST TO GET THEM!
