Help For Pets will have free dog and cat food available at St. Paul's Episcopal Church food pantry in Baden on Friday, June 26 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. It will be drive thru only- please stay in your car. 13500 Baden Westwood Road.

We are on our way to the Nanjemoy Community Center with dog and cat food for folks who are struggling to care for their pets. We will be there from 12pm until 1pm. The Maryland Food Bank Mobile Market will be there from 12pm until 2pm. We would like to thank Ann and Dick, Mary and Cam for sponsoring this month's distribution.

Help For Pets will be partnering with the Maryland Food Bank Mobile Market on Wednesday June 17 from 12pm until 1pm at the Nanjemoy Community Center. We will have free dog food and cat food and information about the services we have available for our community.

We got an early start this morning trapping cats for TNR. We had 4 cats by 9am and got them settled indoors before it was too hot to safely trap. We have been working in this neighborhood for 5 years and try to get any new cats as soon as they show up. Unfortunately people like to get the cute free kittens they see online and they often end up outdoors before they get spayed and neutered. It's been a busy spring.

Miley has lived near an auto repair shop for many years. She is loved by her caretaker and all her other friends, including the mechanics and even the county sheriff who patrols the area. She does a great job keeping mice out of the shop and the cars that come in for repair. Her caretaker noticed her limping last week and a wound on her hind leg. We were able to trap her, get her in to Dr. Parkin for sedation, exam, xrays, cleaning her wound, a long acting antibiotic injection, pain medication, anti-inflammatory medication and update her rabies vaccine.
