Home for the Holidays: Urgent Adoption Appeal for Older Dogs

The Meade County Animal Shelter has reached maximum capacity for dogs, with adult dogs in especially urgent need of loving homes.

These wonderful dogs have plenty of love, loyalty, and companionship to give. Many are simply waiting for someone to look beyond their age and give them the safe, comfortable home they deserve.

To help these lovable dogs find homes for the holidays, the shelter is offering 50% off adoption fees for fully vetted dogs. The discounted adoption fee is only $45 for all adult dogs over the age of 6 months.

If you have room in your home and heart, please consider adopting an adult dog. If adoption is not possible, you can still help by sharing this notice and introducing these deserving dogs to more potential families.

Every adoption opens valuable shelter space and gives another dog a chance.

For more information or to meet the available dogs, please contact the Meade County Animal Shelter at 270-422-2064.

Give an adult dog the greatest holiday gift of all: a loving home.
