As you celebrate with family and friends, don’t forget to keep your furry family members safe.
🐾 Fireworks Safety
• Keep pets indoors before fireworks begin.
• Close windows and curtains, and turn on the TV or music to help drown out loud noises.
• Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date.
• If your pet has severe anxiety during fireworks, speak with your veterinarian about safe calming options.
☀️ Heat Safety
• Always provide fresh water and plenty of shade.
• Avoid walks during the hottest part of the day.
• Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle—even for a few minutes.
• Watch for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse.
🍔 Cookout Reminder
Keep pets away from cooked bones, corn cobs, onions, grapes, raisins, chocolate, alcohol, and xylitol-containing foods.
