We're proud to announce that George Paul, the ranch's founding Quarter Horse stallion, was inducted into the MQHA Hall of Fame. With just 184 foals, he sired 43 performers and 34 point earners, two AQHA Champions and four Register of Merits. Geroge’s offspring won many MQHA Futurities, Get of Sire classes, and his daughters were winners of Produce of Dam classes. His get and grandget had great versatility, winning in everything from cutting, to jumping, to roping, to halter. George’s daughters were an important part of his legacy, producing 70 performers, 50 point earners earning 696 ½ AQHA performance and halter points with three AQHA Champions and a Superior Halter. George Paul and his daughters produced money earners and point earners in NCHA, NRHA, PHBA and IBHA.

George Paul was a son of Bert, the 227th horse registered with AQHA, a noted sire of rope horses by Tommy Clegg, and an AQHA Hall of Fame stallion. George’s dam was NR Jacci by Star Deck, by foundation sire Oklahoma Star, number six in the AQHA registry, and she was also a maternal granddaughter of Bert. NR Jacci produced six performing foals earning 31 points. George's legacy lives on in many of Sunup Ranch's current brood mares.
