Heritage House

Our latest project is a full-scale Airbnb in the Heart of Texas! This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house has been fully updated and transformed from her WWII-era walls to a modern-day gem. You can check her out on Airbnb in Brady, TX, or in Texas Monthly in the coming months.

I’m so grateful for the response I had about expanding to Fort Hood! BTW, did you know Fort Hood is “Fort Hood” again?? Although I don’t know anyone that ever stopped calling it that. 😂

I hope that decorating for military families again will reignite the spark that I found while at Fort Riley, and that maybe one day I’ll get to decorate BATTALION spaces again, too. Meanwhile enjoy these EOD and Engineering Battalion spaces I decorated! That Mother’s Room was *chef’s kiss*.

It’s finally time to get back to my {military} roots!

Believe it or not- all of these photos are MILITARY HOUSING!

I founded Refuge at Fort Riley, KS, on my huge heart for military families trying to make a home away from home. It’s something I found a natural talent and passion for, and I want to bring that to life again.

I am looking to expand my Texas portfolio to Fort Hood, Lackland AFB, Goodfellow AFB, and surrounding military installations by offering FREE decorating services to military families. If you or someone you know might be interested, please message me and let’s get started!

Remodeling a home is not only rewarding but extremely humbling. This process has been ongoing for almost 2 years but, while the majority of it was accomplished quickly, the rest has been the result of heart and hard work. In these photos alone: we’ve taken out dividing walls, added closets, added a mud room, painted, replaced doors and light fixtures, redecorated, and more! The entire process has given us more patience, endurance, and determination. We’ve learned that you’re never truly “done” working on a home. It’s even more challenging when you’re living in and working on a space. Here’s just a glimpse of what we’ve been working on. I can’t wait to show you more!

After a very eventful year, I am excited to announce expanded booking options beginning in May!

Thank you all for your patience over the last year as I experienced several major life events- continuing to rebuild a new life after moving back to Texas from Kansas, getting remarried, losing my Mom, and welcoming my new baby girl on what would’ve been my Mom’s birthday! It has been an emotional roller coaster, feeling everything from joy and excitement to sorrow and despair. I fully believe everything we go through is valuable, can and should help us grow and be more Christ-like. The refining process can be such a challenge, though.

Beginning in May I’ll continue to offer traditional home and event design services, while also expanding online services and travel services. Message me to talk about your individual design needs and create a tailored plan.
