Iā€™m proud of Gus. Heā€™s gone from being unsure about hunting and his role in it, to being a valuable tool in the field and water. Just like this short marked retrieve. He fires into the water on command, loses sight of it with the vegetation camouflaging the duck, switches to his nose to locate, retrieves, crosses a significant log as he transitions from water to land and gets it to me before he canā€™t resist the urge to shake. Well done Gus, your owner has a lot to look forward to these hunting seasons!
