Sterling is NOT DOING WELL inside a cage. She clearly was in a home, and this change has left her anxious and feeling alone and sad. It's easier on some dogs than others. Dogs that had a family they loved and now miss really struggle.

Venice is struggling with shelter life. We have had multiple wonderful volunteers take him home to decompress. Here he is with another volunteer and she has only had great things to say about him. She has told us he will not leave her side. They are truly so different in the home setting. Venice is a perfect example. He just wants someone to love him.

Meet VENICE a handsome, hunky, and downright adorable 6 year old “house hippo”

Venice is truly the sweetest boy with the most charming personality. He is friendly with everyone he meets and is incredibly affectionate. This lovable guy lives for belly rubs and has a joyful smile that instantly brightens the room wherever he goes.

He enjoys his walks with his friends and is well mannered on a leash, complete with the cutest little waddle that will steal your heart. Venice is also a smart cookie who knows several commands like sit, double paw, down, and watch me. He listens well and is always eager for a tasty treat.

Venice is a member of the Only Dog Club and prefers to not share his people with other doggies.

When it’s time to play, Venice is all in. He loves squeaky toys, chasing a ball, and playing fetch in the yard especially when it’s with his favorite person. He’s the perfect blend of playful fun and cozy cuddle buddy. come meet this sweet gentleman ♥️
