Goofy has had it tough the last couple weeks. Back in September he had an amazing day out and he dreams of more days like that. If you can help goofy with a day out or sleep over this sweet guy could really use one.
GOOFY is a long-timer at the shelter. He has been at the shelter a year and half now. Often overlooked, even though he is such a good boy. Our shelter friend, Tim, takes dogs out for amazing adventures, and Goofy got to go on one today!!!
Goofy stares at the same driveway from his exterior kennel. Day after day. I can only imagine how he felt on a boat, wind in his fur, living his best life.
This is what a doggy day out can do for a dog. It doesn’t have to be on a boat. Our dogs appreciate getting away from their kennels…whether it is relaxing on your couch or in your backyard, going for a pup cup, or a walk on the trails.
If you want to make a difference in a dog’s life, please help foster, adopt, volunteer or doggie day out.
Thank you Tim!!!

We encourage anyone interested in meeting our dogs to try to make an appointment in advance if possible at https://www.mymanatee.org/adopt or visit the shelter directly during our open hours. Due to limited staff availability, they may not always be able to answer the phone or emails consistently. Making an appointment in advance ensures you’ll have the best chance to meet the dog you are interested in.
