"Louie (formally Clark) has become the highlight of my life. He’s entertaining and so loving. I truly believe the cat distribution system got us when he found me in October and I dropped him off for a stray hold. HOV allowed us to adopt him after he recovered from pelvic surgery and it has been love (and a little mischief) ever since.
We adore his silly personality and how much he’s made himself at home. King Louie and our family appreciate you, HOV!" -Shannon

"First off, thank you guys so much for everything you do. Jaxx’s story is a little different than most. I got Jaxx when I was 15, he was just 6 weeks old. He was my best friend. When I turned 18, I went off to college and Jaxx stayed at home with my family. In June of 2022, my mom passed away and my family kind of parted ways which left Jaxx without anywhere to go. At the time I was living in apartment that didn’t allow dogs, but was working diligently on finding a place a could have him. As time ran out and everyone moved away, my sister brought Jaxx to you guys. I wasn’t aware of this for a few weeks until they finally broke the news. I called you guys immediately and you guys said he was showing signs of aggression and wasn’t available for adoption through anyone but you told me I could come get him. Within that time frame I secured a new place to live, came and adopted Jaxx back and couldn’t be more grateful for you guys not putting him down due to his aggression. In March of 2025, Jaxx and I made the brave move to Arizona where he enjoyed sunbathing, chasing lizards, and being outdoors as much as possible. In November of 2025, Jaxx turned 8. From the time that I adopted Jaxx/got him back, we were inseparable. Jaxx and I’s souls were bonded. In March of 2026 Jaxx started acting off. I took him to the vet 8 times one week trying to figure out what was wrong. It was then determined he had a stroke or brain tumor. He was taking about 8 different meds a day and I was spoon feeding him baby food as he wasn’t able to eat or drink on his own. The vet then recommended humane euthanasia as Jaxx’s symptoms progressed and he continued to decline. As hard as it was to let go, I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for giving him a chance to come back home to me. You guys are truly amazing and without this opportunity I wouldn’t have the memories or love I got to share with him these last 8 years. Thank you, thank you, thank you!" -Kendel
