This Veterinary Technician Week, we're celebrating the incredible Emergency & Critical Care technicians at Bridger Veterinary Specialists & Emergency!

Emergencies don't follow a schedule, and neither does our ER/ICU team. Day or night, weekends and holidays, our dedicated technicians are there when pets and their families need them most.

From triaging emergencies and stabilizing critically ill or injured patients to providing intensive monitoring, advanced nursing care, and comfort during some of life's most difficult moments, our technicians bring exceptional skill, quick thinking, compassion, and teamwork to every shift.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Dr. Mo Ramras to the Bridger Veterinary Specialists & Emergency team! 🐾

We are excited to welcome Dr. Ramras as we continue to expand our Emergency and Critical Care services at BVS!

Dr. Ramras earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University’s Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. She went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, followed by a three-year residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at Cornell University Hospital for Animals.

Dr. Ramras brings advanced training in the stabilization and treatment of critically ill and injured pets, with extensive experience managing complex emergency and ICU cases. She is also a RECOVER Certified Instructor and is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals. She has completed her residency training and is currently awaiting the results of her board certification examination.

Even more exciting news for our patients and referring veterinary partners! With Dr. Ramras joining Dr. Lathroum, BVS now offers on-site Critical Care specialist coverage six days a week, with on-call availability on Sundays! This is an exciting step forward in our commitment to providing advanced emergency and critical care to pets throughout Montana.

When she's not caring for patients, Mo is an accomplished competitive trail ultramarathon runner! She also enjoys ski touring, rock climbing, backpacking, art, and cooking.

We are thrilled to have Mo on our team and can't wait for our community to get to know her!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Patrick Khalife to the BVS team!

Patrick Khalife joined the BVS team in 2026 as a medical oncologist. Originally from Denver, Colorado, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Colorado State University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. He then completed a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital followed by a residency in medical oncology at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego.

Dr. Khalife’s approach to cancer care centers on helping pets feel well and continue doing the things they enjoy with the people they love. He understands that a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and he places a strong emphasis on taking the time to clearly explain each pet’s diagnosis, what to expect, and the options available. He believes there is rarely a one-size-fits-all approach to cancer care and works with each family to find a plan that fits their goals, priorities, and circumstances while keeping quality of life at the forefront.

Dr. Khalife is excited to make Southwest Montana home and to become an active part of the communities he serves throughout the region. When he is not in the hospital, he can usually be found exploring the mountains with his wife and friends, whether hiking, skiing, climbing, or simply enjoying time outdoors.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Hanlon to the BVS team! 🐾🎉

Dr. Hanlon was born and raised in Prosser, Washington, and attended Montana State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then attended Washington State University for veterinary school, where he discovered his passion for surgery.

He completed a rotating internship at The Ohio State University before matching into a combined master’s and surgery residency program at the University of Florida. Dr. Hanlon completed his residency in July 2026 and moved straight back to Bozeman with his wife, Callie, and their two dogs, Owen and Bitty.

A former fly fishing guide, Dr. Hanlon spends much of his free time fishing, but he also enjoys skiing and hunting. He is passionate about research, with much of his work focused on orthopedic trauma, as well as orthopedic and soft tissue implant development.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Hanlon back to Bozeman, where he will be joining the BVS Surgery Department as a surgeon. We’re so excited to have him and his family back in the community and look forward to all he will bring to the BVS team!

🐾🎉 What a weekend at the Sweet Pea Festival! 🎉🐾

BVS was so excited to be part of the Sweet Pea Festival Dog Parade this weekend! We loved getting out into the community, celebrating with our fellow dog lovers, and seeing so many amazing pups show off their personalities. 🐶💐

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, waved, cheered us on, and made the parade such a fun experience! We’re grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and had the best time celebrating Sweet Pea Festival with all of you. 💙
