Grizzly Goldens (formerly known as Grizzly Kennels) began in 2003 with our first Golden, Princess. From the start it was our goal to improve upon the breed and be learners regarding everything related to health and temperament first in breeding. Over the years we have been privileged to learn from other breeders and professionals to offer exceptional puppies and an unforgettable, positive experience to our clients from near and far. This breed is absolutely incredible and we could never go to another breed after such a "Golden" experience. These beautiful pups have been growing by leaps and bounds! What a joy to see each puppy thriving and passing wellness exam!
Noli x Cartier’s puppies have a theme; USA250 🇺🇸
In this litter the boys are: Eagle (black) Maverick (orange) Sarge (yellow) Yankee (blue). The girls: Liberty (dk. pink)Betsy (green) Glory (mint) Dixie (lt. pink).

These sweethearts have had the opportunities like all the litters do, with lots of new experiences paired with positive things. These pups are inquisitive, kind and incredibly precious. We are excited for each family that will be able to love and be loved by one of these darlings. (All are women spoken for)

The boys from the . They are SO squish-able. One look at those faces and you’ll think they’re bears, not pups. Since wellness exams there has been lots of cuddles and play-dates with waiting families. Pickups are now underway and a forever awaits each pup! After so many opportunities for confidence building and making positive connections with new experiences, this is the true test. How easily will each puppy adapt to his new family/surroundings? We want to set them up for success so their creating of those new bonds will be joyful and wonderful as a new world is opened up.
The males names are: Blaze (red) Ash (light blue) Mojave (green) Sol (dk blue) Flint (Black)

There IS one male of these chunks AVAILABLE , due to no fault of his own. We should know which one he is for sure in a couple days. (Mojave or Sol)

The two sweet girls from the 🔥☀️ The reason for this litter theme was that they arrived in the middle of the heat and smoke. It’s kind of special to have a positive memory like these precious pups to look back upon. These two are: Phoenix (light pink collar )and Ember(Dark pink). Ember is a little blonder and Phoenix has a little more golden. Both are intelligent and darling!

In the past couple weeks all the puppies have been growing by leaps and bounds! Both physically and developmentally. So much learning and making those positive connections as new experiences are being introduced. Griz and Jingle definitely make happy, eager learners! So excited for what the future holds for these two sweethearts💜🩷

Update!! I won’t be accepting more applications right now as it’s just too many to go through. This is good problem to have. I’m sorry if you haven’t heard back from me. It’s looking really likely that we will have some lovely, dedicated families as options that are interested in adopting both together!

Meet Willow and Walter! They are 7 and 5 and needing a home as soon as possible. Both are Grizzly Goldens pups. Willow (darker one) is from the Sun and Moon litter and Walter is from the Rainbow litter.

Here’s a little bit more about both of them and why they are needing a stable, forever home now.

Willow loves the water, is lively and protective; it takes a lot more time for her to warm up to other dogs then they’re besties. If someone comes to the door she’ll let you know. She loves riding in the car and will swim at the water, having so much fun getting those sticks and bringing them back. She’s a little spoiled and is used to being a queen. She’s not well-trained to be reliable off leash and walks on leash, that could also use some work. She’s good around children and is more of a homebody but if she or Walter sees you getting that leash for a walk they are excited! She definitely has the typical affectionate nature of a Golden and loves to love and be loved. Willow has more of the traditional lines and less show as you can see off her more sleek features.

Walter is a pretty easy boy; super sweet, gentle and kind. When someone arrives his tail is constantly wagging. Everyone is his best friend. He’s not your boy to play fetch at the lake but will splash around at the shore. Car rides aren’t his favorite thing but he will get into the car to go places. He loves to meet and play with other dogs and is wonderful with kids. He’s more golden and blocky, with mostly American show European show lines.

Both are in good health, have had recent vaccinations (I believe within the last year according to current owner) both are fixed also.

A devastating life-circumstance is such that this is the only option forward for these two to be able to thrive. We tried to see any option moving forward where these two precious babies would be able to remain with owner but it looks like they will need a home in the next week or so. This is heartbreaking for all parties involved and we know that it’s not these fault of these sweet pups.

We REALLY want them to stay together if at all possible but will be open minded. We want stability. They currently live near Missoula.

Beautiful Noli and Cartier’s babies arrived! All eight of them arrived the very last day in July; 4 males and 4 females. With some of them having Pectus Excavatum, the team immediately worked with our amazing vet to correct this right away. Thankfully, this is something that can be fully reversed when worked with right away. Our prayers have been answered and all 8 are doing amazing now at 3 weeks🩷💙
Noli has been so happy to be a mama again—she was incredible with her first litter and this one is no different. These sweet babies have still had every opportunity with ENS and ESI in the first couple weeks. Cuddle time is in full-force now as they are responding to the people in their surroundings and exploring more of their space. If these babies are anything like both parents, we expect gentle, mild and kind Goldens with a lower drive.

Jingle and Griz’ babies are 3 weeks and THRIVING! Experiencing a lot of new things; textures, smells, sounds and visuals. We have a golden rainbow of color here that we ask think is so fun!

This is the stage where they move from the neonatal stage (when eyes and ears aren’t fully open) to the social one. Interactions with objects their surroundings and the people in their life are the first things. It’s important to provide opportunities for positive exposure during this window. What sweet, happy faces and lovely moments in these weeks. When you’re prepared to offer an enriching experience, what opportunities there are for creating confident well-adjusted pups.

And Griz puppies are extra confident, happy and engaged learners💙🙌

Jingle’s babies arrived! There are 5 handsome boys and 2 pretty girls thriving! (one little girl didn’t make it 😭) I’m a little late in sharing on here. It’s been over a week and a half and this is Jingle’s current mood. She is being a super mama—all those babies are getting CHUNKY and growing so well. I can’t stop smiling at how hilarious she can be. There is also the most beautiful rainbow of golden in this litter, perfection! In the first couple weeks here we start ENSI. These are early introductions of both smells and exercises that must happen in this neonatal stage when ears and eyes aren’t fully open. There are far-reaching positives for a pup’s future when these are done. There are many articles online to be read on both Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction If any of you enjoy digging deeper, like I do.

A little late in posting…the best news! Nolli, who is one of the most elegant Goldens, is going to have puppies once more! A couple years ago she had her first litter and we’ve been hoping for and anticipating a second litter ever since. She was the best mom and is an incredible auntie! We already know how incredible she’ll be this time. Handsome and gentle Cartier is the sire! We didn’t know this would actually happen and what exciting news. To have a wonderful opportunity for a chill, therapy pup with a lower drive, YES! All early reservations are full until puppies arrive and we have a gender headcount. She’s due the beginning of August with puppies read for new homes beginning of October. Get ready for little marshmallows!

Looking forward to Griz and Jingle’s upcoming litter that will be going home early fall! Due end of July, ready end of September.

Expecting little fluffy bears that are confident, quick learners and enjoy every outdoor activity right alongside you. Affectionate, snuggly and little sweethearts that love water and carrying things in their mouths/retrieving balls. These are traits we see in these the parents. If you’ve met either, you know what I mean! They will bring a smile to your face🤗🩷💙

Early reservation spots are taken but possible openings (if the match is right) after puppies arrive and we have a gender headcount.

And just like that, the puppies are going from clumsy walking to running and playing. At this age they’ve just had a wellness exam(all passed with flying colors) and had their wonderful weeks of going to local nursing homes, memory care homes and more. Seeing confidence being built and encouraged, giving opportunities for so many new sights, sounds, smells and textures all helps to create that well-adjusted puppy that can more easily adapt to a new life with their forever family. Creating that connection between new things and something positive will help the brain recognize that experience/thing as something great in the future. It’s during this most impressionable window of time from 4-12 weeks of age when these emotional responses are being shaped. What a delight for those of us that get the opportunity to work with Goldens. This breed is already so brilliant and eager to learn—we just provide an environment for them to thrive.
